Yo a legit question i see you change the transmission fluid this way in this wideo then when you change the pan and gasket you undo the valve body and let it drain that way also for the transmission fluid. My wiestion is do you do botch procedures to ensure a full transmission flush?
@ERICSDIYGARAGE Жыл бұрын
This is a manual transmission so it doesn't have a transmission pan or filter. I have two videos because the process Is not the same

The best thing you can do is check your owners manual i believe 2006 use gl5 gear oil but make sure you double check because they are different

Conzept z performance in deer valley there like 20 cents each but it's better if your around there and go to there store because they do charge a lot for shipping from what I heard and hell ya wrap it when its 100%, plasti dip is a place holder for the time being bro😀

my 2010 FX 35 does not have a 10mM Hex but it has a bolt and also a smaller hex bolt towards the front of the Tran. The fill plug is neither a hex or a bolt it looks like a special type of tool is needed for this type of fill plug. Thanks for your help

Hey got a question here So i got a 03 Infiniti g35 coupe with 212k miles i got it for 1k only and planned to restore this vehicle in time id like to get another 200k miles but im willing to invest more than the car is worth Heres my question im uncertain about if or when the differential fluid was replaced... I have a whireing sound when decelerating kinda feels or sounds like the engine is powering down but had me thinking it might be something to do with the condition of my differential.. would it be viable for me to get it serviced with new fluid this far into the engines life? (Engine is in very good shape) I dont wanna do this if i risk needing a whole new differential lol

Nice video bro like that, my question is I have an 03 infiniti g35 coupe which is an automatic can i use the same products you used in the video or different fluid. Also my car started running strange yesterday on my way to work i was getting this thump sound when it shift and when I came to a stop and took off i had to push the gas pedal halfway to the floor to go as i got on down the road it leveled off and ran smooth until i had to stop again and take off, the car has 165,321 on it and i have never changed the the transmission fluid or screen on the car..
@ERICSDIYGARAGE4 жыл бұрын
You might want to check your throttle body and see if it need cleaning, but it would also be a good idea to change the fluid but start at looking at the Throttle body and mas air flow sensor if they are dirty clean them. As for as the fluid I used you can not use it in automatic transmissions you need to use oem fluid go to your nissan dealership its about 16 bucks a bottle but it worth going oem with the automatic transmissions

Cool vids bro. Quick question I recently bought a 03 g35 I noticed it started to shift hard like yours and just yesterday it started not to want to go into reverse gear checked the fluid and I'm alittle below Min level could that be the reason?
@ERICSDIYGARAGE5 жыл бұрын
hows it going, do you have a automatic or standard transmission, what color was your fluid when you checked it?
@viktorzzz21245 жыл бұрын
It's a 6 speed manual as well and it was kinda of a dark reddish color.
@ERICSDIYGARAGE5 жыл бұрын
it could be your transmission shifter Bushing or maybe the fluid needs to be replaced. try to change your transmission fluid and see if it resolves
@viktorzzz21245 жыл бұрын
For sure. And I also forgot to mention that by it not going to reverse I meant it would grind the gear. All the other gears go in but hard.
@ERICSDIYGARAGE5 жыл бұрын
@@viktorzzz2124 sounds like it could be bad synchros, cheapest thing you can do is change the fluid and you can go from there, hopefully its just dirty fluid

@@brianthehonduran9361 i got a 2003 non-rev up black on black w brembo brakes, and the motor/transmission are solid at 132k miles 6 speed. I added 5/16" blox plenum spacer, synthetic diff/tranny fluid, coilovers, control arms, ball joints, compression rods, tires, rims, vinyl wrap got a few shorts on my channel about it... The motors/transmissions are solid, but make sure you check control arms, suspension, ball joints, compression rods, listen for noises when you brake/stop (This will save you a lot of money if you point this out during negotiations), and get a manual!!! (even though they are harder to find) I installed an oil catch can too so the oil vapors don't dirty up the plenum over time. I get a weird sound going into reverse gear, but found out reverse has no synchro / put it into 1st before reverse, and that fixed that lol. Overall a solid o.g. jdm car that has its flaws, but definitely is a future classic. *Main issues are suspension, oil burning (change every 3k 10w30 manual recommended/install oil catch can) , seat motors, window motors, other than that I love the car, and its amazing at drifting even without much skill *yet* =)
