One word of caution about the inside opening of the gas tank. Be careful when reaching in with your arm because the inside of the opening is razor sharp. Your likely to get cut as your pulling up, so wear a long sleeve for protection. They didn't debur the inside of the opening and i was cut pretty bad.

I bough a new pump, when open up gas tank and find out there are 2 hoses ,put it back and ready to return pump to where I got...finally this video shown the hose on pump housing is just for return line, and the pump they sent to me was right. Thank you for your video.

Thank you so much. Just changed it today with : Unisia c17e2000( google it) .. the hard part was to put it inside again.. I had to take the fuel out and disconnect everything from the top cover then placing the new pump and plugging everything back to the cover

The video producer has obviouisly done this before! Getting the pump unclipped is a MAJOR problem (unless you're lucky!). I'm SO SORRY I even attemp;ted to do this! I've fixed a LOT of things in my lifetime, but this is the FIRST one I'm quitting on! What good is all the other instruction if you can't get the goddamn pump out?

Does the 99 qx4 have a fuel check valve. If so. Where is it located. Everytime I search I get results showing a fuel pressure regulator

The video is great with one major exception - the whole explanation of the clip on the pump housing and how to get to that. I don't know whether to press, attempt to pull, and from which direction. A better explanation and close up of the part would have been great. For the life of me and better part of hours, I can't "feel" what the heck is supposed to be "unclipped" but it's def not coming out. Other explanations of pinch the box, rotate, yeah - no. 2003 Nissan Pathfinder.

The clip is on the bottom, but the lever to release it is on the back, the opposite side of the sock. Squeeze that with the pump longways and pull up.

The clip or the lever to release the pump. I could not click-it back in place, is really a problem with that. I will run out of gas to figure if it shutoff before empty or pump did get deeper on tank.

Which fuel pump you installed, high pressure one? 340lph? Or higher?

franklin holguin pinch the side of the box so the whole assembly can move,then flip the box around in the gas tank u should see a block rubber part remove that and stick a long screwdriver inside to remove the clip the pump should fall right off
