I never knew my grandfather because he passed away before I was born... And that makes me sad😔! But when I see Roger a smile appears on my face and the only thing I can think is:"Wow, what an amazing man! I wish I will be like him once I'm grown up!" Roger, I love u! You, Brian and Freddie, John and Adam are my idols! Thanks for everything!

Hi Roger! My name is Bree and I was born in the late 2000’s. Even though I could never go to one of Queen’s concerts back in the 70’s, I still look up to all four of you. Freddie, Brian, John, and you. Even if you all aren’t together as a band, you all make me smile. Thank you for making my life a little brighter. ❤️

Fabulous. Lifelong queen fan her Roger. And after your recent tour, I decided at 60 to start learning the drums. I only have one inspiration. You. Your drum solos during your live shows with Queen were always a highlight. So, here goes, with the help of my tutor, I'm hoping to bash out some tunes before too long. Thanks for these videos, ❤️

awesome as always roger! i was at your 2nd ingleston show in june 82, at the end when you all took your bow you bounced your sticks off the stage and into the crowd, my friend george put his hands up to catch them but was blinded by the lights and one hit him on the head and the people behind him got it! at least he got to touch one of your sticks! i got a plastic drinks cup off the top of freddie's piano! i've been a fan since 76 rog, thank you for a lifetime of wonderful memories, you guys are the best of the best! love you all 👑✊🇬🇧

Hi Roger, I saw you live at Wembley in 86 the most exciting concert I've ever seen. It gives me great pleasure these days to be able to player my Roland electronic kit at home along to the very concert I was at in the crowd watching you. I struggle to keep up with everything you do on that concert but I'm getting there. The memories are priceless and I thank you so much for implanting those memories inside me which have stuck with me all this time. I shall never forget you, the band, the concert and they absolute joy it has given me throughout my life. If you could say a few words to me I would cherish that above it all. Cheers, Toby

Roger belongs to the old school of self taught drummers, the best in my opinion. He uses his right hand much more than the left, what he gives in terms of symmetrical playing he gets it in terms of creativity, variety and musicality. Love his playing.

Before Corona put an end to it, I attended Nordoff Robins. Out of all the instruments introduced it was the drums I LOVED most. They allowed me greater emotional expression than a guitar or piano. I loved the whole experience, sitting with these wonderful instruments, the stick, hitting the drums and the instant feedback of the sound. They reach something deep in my psyche, perhaps a memory of when we're in the womb and feel the vibration of a heart beat. Or more primal in our evolution. I don't technically play the drums, and didn't know people have lessons. So thank you for the video. I'm happy just playing by feel and dream of being back in the NR music room playing my heart out.

Second favorite and greatest drummer in the world behind John Bonham! Anything Roger lacks in skill talent from him he makes up with his singing! SO amazing! Everyone should also check out his solo long plays as well best found in his 2013 box set compilation entitled "The Lot" featuring FIVE solo c.d.s, three Cross c.d.s, four c.d.s of single versions of songs, plus a d.v.d., and gorgeous hard cover book!!!

@@alexjohnston8889 why he does not have hi hat?
@alexjohnston88894 жыл бұрын
@@robyneianndleoncito4529 to be perfectly honest I don't know. My. Guess is the way a lot of drummers use it to keep a steady beat think of AC/DC, very simple drumming and very steady beat using hi-hat. Keith could never drum that simple style he has far too much energy for that likes to use the whole kit and his style his quite erratic at times, he never stays in one simple rhythm, he likes to go wild round the kit, so I guess as he didn't like to stay in one place on the kit he probably thought he had no use for it, I don't know.
