Suddenly, cooperative gameplay. See what a destroyer can do to support team members and the whole fleet. Also a nice glimpse of somewhat coordinated big action too.
As this list grows bigger, credit to everyone who participated in the battles, to Red and Red one mention each :D
The game is Infinity: Battlescape by I-Novae Studios, version 0.9.3.1, server is US-East.

Ah love the video! Just found out about the game last night and although I can't buy it this exact second I will buy it very soon for sure. It looks fun and like a blast, and watching you go through all these moments inspires me to get it! Keep up these long video's as you can, I for sure watch them! And hey once I get it I'm coming for that rank haha

Every time I watch gameplay footage of this game... I think how cool it would be to link a game with this engine to the eve online servers.

It can be, though I"m uncertain, yet there is an actual possibility for EVE mod for I:B. EVE's engine allows to simulate the entire game world at once, with significantly more ships, so tradeoffs in physics there are a requirement. Unless waiting patiently for more improvements in hardware is an option, of course. Simulation in I:B is more detailed, so it trades off ship count for that. Then there is also a question of different combat styles, physics, and balance, all at once. Funky ship shapes and resistance-based side of its combat would clash with free 6DoF flight. Speed-tanking would be awesome, other tanking types would not change in the slightest. Then there would be Mordu's Legion ships somewhere in-between, doing both at once :D . Fighting a ship that dodges half of your salvo and absorbs the rest can be part fun, part frustrating. So the resulting port would feel different to EVE, of that there is no doubt.

@@random_passerby4672The point of my earlier comment was to have both games running in tandem. Stuff that happens in both clients would show up in both games but just displayed differently. You could keep the EVE ship count low by having access gated behind an acceleration gate. (For example, 25 ships from each faction.) The ships using this engine in an EVE setting would more or less be drone and corvette / frigate sized. So an eve player would probably need to use a web to kill them. That said, there wouldn't be a lot of purpose in doing so. The EVE ships would be better served killing the structure once the shields are down.

Hold on, to link them like Dust 514 was meant to be linked? Its orbital bombardment-like interaction? If yes, then nope, better not! As the Infinity Universe has to stand on its own :D It potentially can, just not yet. Both settings are too different to touch, the reasons as to why will have a chance to get known later on, if the game is successful.

@@random_passerby4672 the infinity universe is it's own thing. I was just saying I wanted an eve themed game with an engine like this. The orbital bombardment interaction was pretty low bar. I want ship piloted in the eve client to show up in the eve themed IB client, and vice versa. I want the ships to be able to damage each other. true integration just using different clients.

Very well! Then there would be less problems. But as far as I have seen, EVE's flight is more limited than I-Novae Engine flight, and there seems to be no apparent reconciliation between them. At first glance, that is. For example, there is a well-defined up/down direction in EVE, and I:B has no such thing for ships. And couple this with I:B's hitboxes vs EVE's lack of them, it would not be as fair to have combat between players on different integrated clients. EVE ships in I-Novae Engine facing their targets all the time and not being hit in return due to that, while ships in EVE client suddenly doing unnatural rolls depending on their direction? Without cross-engine integration, EVE-themed game in this engine would be more playable, than with it, maybe?

Is this the game that way back was known as Infinity: Quest For Earth that got a battle demo? And then this is what the combat demo turned into? What about the other big ideas? They sounded good.

Yes, it's by the same studio! The engine is the same, the universe is the same, and what the combat demo turned into. As far as I remember, the bigger ideas like an MMO are shelved, but not forgotten. They await when more resources get available, for one thing, while main focus is on making the Battlescape good for now.

Hi, I've been watching your vids lately and considering to buy this game with my friend. Is there a decent playerbase, or is it mostly PvE?

Hello! As of right now, the playerbase is small compared to other titles, as the game has not left Early Access yet. So it is mostly PvE right now, and we sometimes arrange playtimes through Discord to have some co-op or PvP. A significant part of total playerbase most certainly awaits 1.0 release to check out the game again. Heh, even if the entire Discord community joins at once, there would be extra servers required :D

right now the playerbase isnt very big and the devs are not putting any money into advertising and they wont until 1.0.

Отлично... Боевая часть на Высоте. Самый интересно то что Битвы на много эффектнее чем в Star Citizen. Я говорю про внешний вид... Эх... вот бы увидеть развитие проекта дальше. Внешний Вид станций если честно я бы переработал. Добавить Бы возможность торговли и генерацию Миров, возможность исследований, бесконечную галактику, ноги... И это будет шедевр. Понятно что это титанический труд... Но в данный момент это основа которую требуют геймеры... Вот бы походить ножками по станциям... по кораблям....Заняться добычей Анаптаниума))) получить люлей от живого пирата... или навалять ему. Сгонять в соседнюю систему купить новые трусы))

Увы, до настолько масштабной версии игры, если она станет возможной, придётся очень долго ждать, и видно даже преуспеть в создании этой сначала.

And there is hope to see it one day - modding support is planned for the game. Us players would have to wait a while though.

Things publicly known are: • Ship chassis as loadout socket variants; • Spinal weapon for cruiser, with extreme range and significant damage; • Orbital bombardment and extreme range for ground-based orbital cannons; • Fix to all small ship weapons turning fixed instead of also being able to be gimbaled and converging; • More wreckage models, probably; • Balance tweaks; • Bugfixes; Up-to-date info can be found on the Infinity: Battlescape Discord server.

@@random_passerby4672 for me its the player base, I like online games, i like to chat to people on discord etc with games like this, its a lot more fun and a lot more in depth emersion , things go smother etc, ill grab it when it comes on sale I guess and then by then hopefully its near 1.0 and they start to advertise, and bring the player base.
