After a substantial holdup, I'm finally back with a cruiser with a spinal cannon on it! With an entire socket class and a chassis variant reserved for itself, this weapon packs all the cruiser's threatening firepower into a single projectile, and launches it at 5000 m/s with pinpoint precision to hit something as far as 150 km away from the ship and deal 20000 HP worth of damage to the target's hull, and up to twice to its shield. This is a weapon heavy enough to turn the lightest chassis the cruiser has into something comparable to the default one, has a beam dedicated solely for notifying its targets that they are being looked at funny, and makes said cruiser a priority target in most assault scenarios. And having pinpoint precision does not mean as good as accuracy, the latter has to be earned through manual control. Fortunately, there is a way to make the aiming process as handy as possible, and that is - changing control schemes.

Also wishing for few important things be fixed in upcoming year, but until then, improvements in quality would have to wait. Be patient, there are some plans!
