...first, the piece is flat out gorgeous...you are truly an artist!...👍 Now, you may already know this, but when working with a 'motor', you need to know its duty cycle...for example, years ago I was contracted by a company to complete a project that had been started, using their equipment. After burning up a powered screwdriver, I looked at its duty cycle...10 minutes on, 30 minutes off (THAT was not going to cut it). I brought it to their attention but they were not concerned...I burned out two more before completing the project. Of course, a duty cycle rating of 'continous' is best...you may find the first rotary tool had something less... Matt

I truly enjoy your art work and videos. Now for my stupid question - knowing nothing about resin - could you have used your model as your form? That is pour the resin into the foam molds you formed into chain links and after the resin cured cut the foam off.
@artgivinghope Жыл бұрын
That's not a bad idea... except i didn't know what i was going to do with my bucket of left over resin until years after i started saving it... 😀
@lyndaowen2154 Жыл бұрын
If you decide to use colored resin, you could save some of your ribbons and put it in clear resin by itself or with wood. I’ve seen others do that and you can come up with some real pretty pieces that way too. I’ve seen some that’s even save some of the wood shavings to put with colored resin.

Those ants sound like the cleaner ants we have here in Panama. They enter your house by the bazillions, marching through anything they can access. They find spiders, dead bugs, pieces of meat left in the dog dish, and then as quickly as they came, they are gone. This happens once or twice a year. I made a video called "Home Invasion" on my channel.
It's the only way if you intend for it to be part solid wood and part resin. Artforour.org
