I really liked this joy of dashat video. I hope N5 in becoming a package game with neat products doesn’t remove all the options for serious quirky fun, but quirkiness that still has game.

Its sad that NAAs might be going in N5. I hope they find some way to preserve their "meme" within the armies that remain. Covert ops done not just by nation state entities but private corporations is a cool fantasy.

Before the end of N4 and boutique infinity I recommend the bashi Ghulam or basihi zulong regenerating HMG lieutenants. They can be a specialist so it’s not like you wanted points on an unnecessary model.

The real tactic with Mine Launcher is to shoot mines covering enemy Linked 1W MSV snipers or similar hard AROs. Shoot mines. Then turn the corner and engage it with Maggie or something and then let your opponent suffer the bad choice. Then reload and do it again to another model.

You should know it already, so I just want to celebrate with you that Dahshat Company will survive into N5 :D I have a Maggie because I like the model and it made me really happy that there is an other faction which can use it :P

I love the NA2s. I'd be really sad to see them go entirely. Ikari was my first army and I've recently (just before the N5 announcement) collected basically every model in White Co. It'd be gutting to lose them altogether!

@R0bertShepherd Bostria mentioned it during the Metachemistry Podcast Interview (Episode 98). He used StarCo as an example of an NA2 being swallowed into a Faction (roughly at 39 minutes in). The whole podcast is worth a listen for his thought process.

In N3 I had a goal of fielding 18 order 6 link Dashat (Odalisques, Brawlers, Bashis, bounty hunters, ghulams). Smg city, great on dense terrain. N4 killed that dream. Whyyy isnt the troop limit 20? Besides that, I think mercenaries would make a better base for the game going forwards than the core factions do. Unlikely to happen of course, but think of the entry base- buy brawlers and anaconda and 1 more merc and suddenly you are close to being able to field most merc armies. Then you flavor from there.

Unfortunately you can’t reveal and CC, you would have to reveal, somehow dodge into them, and then have them activate that troop again.

Edit: Oh god... double mimetism minelayer Libertos is sickening. I'd consider those absolutely auto-include. There is no alternate reality where I'd ever even CONSIDER taking less than two.
