This is a game I never would’ve given any thought into getting BUT I have a 9year old daughter now that LITERALLY squealed at how cute this looks (& I think she had a Nikki game on her iPad) so guess what I’m guna be doing over the Xmas hols. 🤣 Admittedly I’m looking forward to it as there’s not many games that get my daughters attention outside of Minecraft.

Could be worse, her favorite game could be some lame one. I remember my sister loved Spice World on PS1 and it was a rhythm game with a few songs from the Spice Girls and she sucked at it so I'd have to play it while she watched for months. Luckily she found out she liked Spyro eventually and that was the new "it" game for a while which was far more tolerable lol.

Is the game suitable for a younger audience it’s rated Teen. How bad is the blood and violence? Asking for my daughter

@Phillylima my 9year old loves it. There was a learning curve with tutorials etc but after the first hour or two she got the hang of it & has lived it. I wouldn’t say it’s violent & it has no blood so the teen rating does confuse me a little bit but there’s a lot of reading & learning to begin with. I’d say let your daughter give it a go. There might be a learning curve but hopefully your daughter will love it as much as mine does. It’s just nice to see her playing something other than Minecraft for once. Lol

This'll be my first Nikki game (I didn't know it was a series until this video). I ended up getting the pre-order because it was cheap, and I wanted to give it a shot. I tend to not enjoy single player live service games (even Zenless Zone Zero I had to force myself to stop despite enjoying it because I was spending a lot of money on it for very little returns), so I don't know how long I'll last, especially with Rita's Rewind being just around the corner. Still, the graphics and art direction look fantastic, and I am a very big proponent of chill and relaxing video games so I will absolutely give it a try. Though if the Gatcha elements are too intrusive, I'll be stopping for my sanity's and wallet's sake.

So excited to find this for iPad is one of the virtually nonexistent, nonviolent games. But it is so incredibly difficult to maneuver the controls and get her to jump without falling off the cliff. I have found entire thread dedicated to this and still nobody’s able to explain how to actually make it work. Would love a video on how to actually get her to be able to jump and float without falling off the edge of a cliff every time

One major QOL I wish they would add (and may be a deal breaker for some... Possibly me) is the inability to invert camera controls. Thankfully, I've rarely needed to quickly adjust the camera as action is very minimal... I'm six hours in and still everytime I need to look at something, I'm looking at the floor or off into the distance. Decades worth of muscle memory are hard to ignore

What platform are you using? I’m on an iPad and although I’m literally one hour into the game and still stuck in the tutorial, I am finding the camera angles are incredibly good. I can zoom in and out. Go up and down all over the place. What I can’t do is figure out how the eff to get her to go from One platform to another without floating down to her demise.

Why must they ruin a really interesting looking game by making it F2P?! I just don't have time for another one of these games. I just want to pay my 59-69€ and have a fully functional game that I can play whenever I want without being forced to do daily tasks or be online forced.

Honestly I'm also soo disappointed they didn't decide to make it a one-time purchase game. But I did get to play a bit of a beta, and the story so far has been really good. I think if you don't care too much about missing out on gacha outfits, you can easily play the game at your own pace, just playing mini games or slowly progressing through the story.

@@Chiikusho You might be right. Since the game doesn't revolve around combat and therefore there seems to be no constant need to level and upgrade stuff, it might not be too bad. Unless they do add costumes that will you lock out of something if you don't have them, I might take a look at it, if I can squeeze it on my PS5.

You guys need to get over it, Nikki has been a beloved series for DECADES and the gacha system has always been there it would be a stupid move on them to make it a one time purchase AND only accessible to PC and PS5 when their long time fans are consistent of those who probably majority isn't playing PC or PS games and mind you they can make whatever the hell game they want if you don't like it and the system then politely f*ck off

I’m an engaged straight guy and I’m looking forward to playing it 😂 I don’t think the demographic it caters to really matters but the game is definitely more geared towards woman for sure. My fiancée and I will be playing it on our PS5’s when it comes out. What’s funny is this is totally a game she would love but I’m the one who found out about the game and told her about. Honestly, I think I’m more hyped about it than she is but I know when it comes out she’ll probably play it a lot more than me just cause I’m the type of guy that plays multiple single player games at the same time 😅
