You can buy horse stall mats which is the same material and make 4 targets from one sheet. Use some white spray paint and have the same thing for less than $10 per target.

Where do you get them? Cal ranch/tractor supply?
@fleyeline5 ай бұрын
I get mine from tractor supply. They are 3'x4' sheets and I cut 4 squares out of the sheet with a straight edge and utility knife. Just keep scoring along the same line with the utility knife. That was the easiest method I found for me to cut them. I don't cut out the head shape. I use a different color of spray paint to paint a dot for the head and center of mass points. Quick and easy.

@fleyeline I like the idea of making 6 C zones. Definitely appreciate the heads up

I mix my training up with steel and cardboard, and just apply 3” shoot n see pasters on the cardboard along the A zone, particularly the manubrium. Same concept as the Infinity target at minimal cost.

I think mixing up target types is the best way to keep training interesting and fresh. Good suggestion on the shootnsee

500 steel is the deal. If you are going to have to paint it anyway steel is the way to go. $130,00 would buy you the exact target in steel last year. I don't get anything back from the steel as long as it has a good forward angle on it like yours, I have felt some spalling coming down from overhead but nothing coming straight back. No customer service says a lot about a product and I am glad to see someone finally telling like it is. Too many companies get let off the hook. For the price you paid you should have an immediate answer if there is an issue with the product. Still patently waiting on the finish of the CCP .45 and watching you find the magic torque spec on the stock screw of that 10-22. Enjoyed it as usual.

I had high hopes for these targets and ya, it is disappointing not to hear anything. I'm a pretty understanding guy and I know that things happen. I usually less worried about the issue and only concerned with coming up with a solution. I guess that's why I've always been a tinkerer. Just solve the problem and get on with life! As for the Norc 1911, I put up a post on my community tab explaining what is going on. I'd be interested in your feedback as to it's direction. The 10/22...I've just been defaulting to 20in/lbs but I really want to start at 5 and go up from there to see. Why? Because learning for yourself is fun! As always, I appreciate your comments!

Informative video - I was looking at picking up a set of these but - well maybe I will stick to my carboard and steel plates

When I first learned about these targets. I immediately thought they were not worth the money and would basically go in the trash after 3 range days for anyone that does regular training and drills. The durability/lifetime rating seemed like a bad joke. Seriously, anyone who does regular training will hit at least 75% of their shots in the A zone. Then I learned these are literally just overpriced horse mats. No thanks, I'll stick to my cardboard and target paster. Great video.

No offense but it amazes me that people bought the hype with these. Nothing inorganic is self healing without some sort of energy applied to it. Maybe 22lr wouldn't degrade it as much but $130 for some glorified rubber targets was wild to me when they came out just as that's a wild price to me now.

"up to 110 rounds per square inch". Thats not a lot.
