So the hat above the e in Alke is a circumflex and is an extended falling vowel sound. So it's Alk-eeh (more like Al-cerr to a british speaker) roughly.

A few words to the Haetaetae - the model looks nice but it so wrong in many ways: First everyone wants the more intresting and chaeper loadout with the HRL and guided - thats new, thats interesting and in a haris, you put out B4 HRL with the option of guided late turns (sadly YJ lacks the repeater network and the only pitcher will arrive - if at all - together with the Haeteteteae. So wo got the wrong profile - yes we can prox, but that is no fun in my opinion and then I don´t even need to buy the new stuff, my Mowang or Yan Huo are already here - thank you CB. Second - the pose. He poses like an martial artist and from his profile he is barley capable to hold the sword in the right direction. And this Katana looks like a para-ccw? As nice and beautiful the minis is - I had decided to not buy it, because of the reasons above. When will we see the HRL version? Given the popularity of reinforcements here - never. According to the release politics of CB - maybe in some years when RF is not even a thing.

The HRL version of the model would be cool and an argument could be made that it should have been the launch version.

Bendy metal swords! That is so true! I'm probably going to sell my Infirmarer from the MO box because I can't keep either her sword nor her banner straight. My 90s Howling Banshees are the same, but at least they have sabres so the bend isn't as noticeable.

I had the same issue with my banshees 😄 have half a sword dug into some battlefoam somewhere…

I've straightened bendy nun metal swords, haven't had much issues. What's the problem, transportation?

That used to be the issue with foam trays but using a magnet carry case has help. Now it’s just knocking them on the tabletop.

I think it is quite sad for yu Jing. They feel a little bit like they try things with them and then throw it on other factions. But better and working. Especially the guijia Is hellishly expensive if you compare him to tags like the gator, or squalo. Since CB uses natural born warrior on almost everything, a lot of the expensive martial arts stuff has no use anymore. Or things like the ninjas. Why don't ninjas have smoke? The faction feels kind of unfinished compared to all the other renewed factions like Nomads, Aleph and Pano if you compare the points costs and the things you get.

Mostly agree apart from the fact that while ninjas don’t have smoke they have easy access to warbands that do. NBW is powerful but I’ve seen Lian Kai take out half an army by picking on units that don’t have NBW. Remember that you can weaken a main threat by ignoring it and taking out everything else.

​@@the_infinitygamer True. Don't take the hammer take the knife and cut the things it works on. I think it would be more useful if nbw would cancel out the first 2 levels of MA. So if you have MA 4 you only get the benefits of MA2 against nbw. Having a talent for fighting makes you do a lot of things right. But if you reach a certain level, noone that hasn't had serious training can compete with a martial arts master. That much talent, for a natural born warrior is a bit over the top. But otherwise everything you say is completely true! We tried it with that change in our local group. Made a lot of players play more of the expensive characters that have MA 3 or 4 again. But to be honest I think close combat needs an overhaul, it is too much of a coin flip than showing the cc skills value.

I like your perspective on MA3 and 4 and the fact NBW cancels out a lot. I hadn’t considered how strong it was as an absolute.

I hate the new boxes. Using the artwork is a great idea. Not having the names of each model in the box on the box is a horrible bone headed mistake. And no, the QR code on the box does not amend this. Put the Hexagon images of the models with their names back on the boxes.
