Same. I bought a high end RNVG from Steve, and I had the exact same experience. He is a true pro. Love my dual set up, and he sold me a real nice device. I am looking at a dedicated thermal unit too. The CE5 is nice, but not quite there for me to pull the trigger. I think im going to go with the MH25 with MOD PVS lens. What unit you looking at buying?

@@PaulMcDonagh-rv6vc im not sure yet. I want a tripod mountable for sure RL42 or RH 50, but I definitely think I want the Pflacon 640 aswell. But also Thermal keeps expanding and getting better. Its hard to buy once cry once with Thermal at the moment. Its a growing market with ever increasing capabilities.

Great video but for future can you shoot in manual focusing because it's constantly trying to refocus from hands to scope making hard to concentrate

640 and 384 iray does not make 320 core sensors, I have both and for someone on a budget the 384 works awesome!

Is there one around the 500 usd price range that anyone would recommend?

I seriously doubt you'll find thermal for $500, aside from the secondhand market and those FLIR units you plug into your phones. I would check Dvor as they've had deep discounts, scored an ATN OTS 4T from them for $1400 instead of $2700. If you really want thermal, it's best to budget for it. _"Buy once, cry once."_

Seems like for a clip on the one with the optical focus and zoom (as opposed to digital) is clearly the best. At least if you want more than the base magnification...which most of us probably do
