I fortunately do not have colitis, but I do since I was yen and now 7 years kater have the other disease, Crohn-s, I shall discuss this with the NHS in Dorset (southeastern England) about paedric colocoscopies for people of my age group (adolescence) I don-t know but are scopes shorter for adolescents and young adults compared to the regular adult population and the elferly, If indeed there are colonoscopes taylored for older children but I feel somewhat resistent in having a scopethat has been into elderly folk up my intestinal tract. I am aware that there are smaller (Being a late teen, I suppose that I have already had adult colonoscopes inside of me. Thanks.colonscopes for young children that are shorter (those not needing ileumscopy) I as a teen myself is curious. Thanks,

I’ve been having thin stools, cramping, serious abdominal pain, loss of appetite, weight loss of 30 lbs over last 5 months, feeling like I have to go to the bathroom all the time, stomach feeling colicky, feeling full after only a few bites, belching, gases up and bloating. My dr thinks it’s IBD. Should I insist on a Colonoscopy?? Or, continue with diagnosis??

hi I had the same situation when I was 10 and I trusted my doctor with their diagnosis but my ibd has only gotten worse. every medicine I have taken has worn of within a year to the point that I think I have colon cancer. I think you should insist on a colonoscopy and be safe because I've spent too many years worrying about this and it could have been resolved long ago.

with your symptoms it's sounds like an ibd but I would want to get the colonoscopy if I am financially stable

In my case, I experienced diarrhea without any other symptoms of illness. My doctor diagnosed the diarrhea as a symptom of my acidity being triggered by food. After following his treatment, I recovered.
