I'm looking to get a inflatable boat to stow in my pickup truck, to just get on a lake, river or ocean to row as a portable option and to get cardio in. What is the cheapest you got that would be feasible?

You can't go wrong with an Achilles! An LT2 or LEX77 would both be good options for you. www.boatspecialists.com/achilles-inflatable-boats/?_bc_fsnf=1&Type=Roll+Up

What would the air deck be like for standing up on
@BoatSpecialists7 ай бұрын
The air decks are hard as a board. I have heard it compared to standing on an inflatable stand-up paddleboard. Very sturdy!

Excellent video! One thing thought. I can't see myself holding the fitting in the tube valves and pumping at the same time on a hot sunny day. I don’t see people doing that on other inflatable boat videos. Is there anything that can be done to avoid that awkward physical position and make the fitting stay in place by itself while pumping? The inflating process has to be done after moving that 68 pound boat around... Thank you.

Thank you for your question! The Zodiac tube valves do not have any sort of interlock device, some may find that their particular valve adapter has enough friction to stay seated on its own (rubber types are usually better for this than the plastic types). It can be awkward to operate the foot pump and make sure the adapter stays seated in the valve if you are assembling the boat by yourself. The best option is an alternative pump type.... the hand-operated pumps like the "K-Pump" are easier to use and an electric pump makes every part of the process easier as well. Hope this helps!
@alansugarman26313 жыл бұрын
@@BoatSpecialists The real trick is to purchase the Zodiac Air Pump Valve Adapter for $16.00 or so. This fits between the hose and the pump. Often this gets misplaced. Why is it so expensive?? Anyway, if you have the adapter, you should really firml place into the valve using some muscle. Then it will stay in place.

Thank you so much for this very informative video. I bought a Zodiac cadet aero from a UK supplier. I spent a few frustrating minutes trying to use the grey double hook-like adapter (used for the floor and keel) to inflate the tubes, until I saw that you were using the black adapter! There were no instructions with the boat which I think is a frustrating omission. Come on Zodiac!!

How would you recommend lettering a 2004 roll up Zodiak? Also, my inflatable floor only has one valve which inflates the keel and floor. Do I still make it with no give? Thanks.
@BoatSpecialists4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the message! There are several ways to add lettering to your boat. Boatnumberplate.com sells patches that can be applied. Stencils and paint can be used. Hanging placards w/ vinyl lettering can be used, or boat painters can paint them on. Without knowing what type of inflatable that has the combined floor/keel, it is hard to say what pressure is best. The only model we sell that has this is the Zodiac Fastroller. For that model, the keel and floor need to be very firm, in the 7-9psi range. It should feel drum tight. Hope this helps!

Hi! Great video Can you make an lsi290 plane with a 6hp with 2 people? Also, where would you sit to get it "down" on plane? Sides or center of floor?
@BoatSpecialists4 жыл бұрын
All good questions! There are quite a few factors to consider when getting a boat to plane. For instance, It would depend on the weight of the 2 people as well as environmental factors such as how choppy the water is, wind, and whether you are using the boat on a lake or at sea. Make sure the boat is properly inflated and weight is evenly dispersed towards the front of the boat. Under the right conditions planing should be possible. Thank you!

I have a 270 AeroDeck and the floor panel came with a rigid 'plank' slotted across the beam of the boat, The manual does not mention this part. I left it in place but it seems to stretch the sides of the skin of the floor. This can't be good for the boat. Should I remove it?
@BoatSpecialists3 жыл бұрын
Hello, Garry! That plank piece is a new addition Zodiac added to the design a few months ago and may not have made it into the manual just yet. The design is intentional and their boat has a 5-year warranty if any issues should arise. Thank you!
@garrysmith73753 жыл бұрын
@@BoatSpecialists Thank you. It is a little weird that it's not mentioned. If I leave it in, it is definitely going to cause damage to the skin of the boat. I can send you pictures of it fitted in place, protruding into the skin of the outer floor

yet another question: where to store the dinghy engine while underway? Can the 6hp Yamaha with internal gas tank (or some other suitable engine for the 310) be safely lashed to the bow of a cruising boat such as the Boston Whaler Conquest 305, in a horizontal position, without any risk of spilling gas? Are storage bags with tie-downs available that make this a secure and not unsightly possibility?

I am considering the 310 as a tender, and might use it to get to go from a mooring to a restaurant dock and back at night, with 2 or 4 people including myself. Suppose conditions are typical, and there's a 7mph breeze and a slight chop in the harbor. (a) how many trips would this require for everyone to arrive at the restaurant dry? (b) even if you travel 2 per trip, how dry would everyone be? (c) for everyone to feel safe in the dark and after a few drinks, how many people would you feel comfortable taking per trip (in your personal opinion)? (d) is the optional bow skirt effective at keeping personal belongings dry, or does the floor get wet so everything gets wet anyway?
@peterwolf44832 жыл бұрын
From reading the cryptic manual, it looks like you are supposed to inflate the floor first, not the main tubes. Maybe it doesn't matter?

It doesn't work, is that common? It doesn't twist, I wrote to the site but no answer, I sent help request, it doesn't work, it won't twist, I'll send it back and you make a video of it working. Do you check these out before you sent me the boat? also is it common for the little green tab to be easily pulled out I'm scared it's going to pop out this seems to be an extremely cheaply made vessel in very critical areas I can't blow it up as the pump you sent well not attach, and I can't trust the valve to keep it up I'll send you pictures of the green thing it just comes out. It's just pathetic I have to reach out with social media because you know millions of people see it and if I email you or talk to you on the phone only one person sees it or hear it and nobody cares

@@John_Higdon_Art John- Based on our transaction history you purchased this boat from us September 8th, 2017. The first mention of a problem was in March 2021, almost 4 years later. Friday night March 5th, 2021 you left 8 voicemails between the hours of 10pm and 11pm EST. As you can imagine, our brick and mortar dealership was closed. Furthermore, a callback number was never provided for us to return your calls. Additionally, you use the word “drop shippers” to describe our business which is untrue. The boat you purchased 4 years ago was shipped from our brick and mortar address direct to yours via our daily FedEx account pickup. Regardless of the aforementioned flaws in your review, we have attempted multiple times to reach out and help solve your valve adapter issue. We spent a fair amount of time going thru our system to look up your phone number and email address on file from 4 years ago to match w/ our phone records. Once retrieved, our company both called and emailed you Monday morning March 15th, 2021 -- the first business day open after receiving your late night weekend phone messages. As of writing this response, we have made multiple attempts to contact you to no avail. We want nothing more than to deliver a top notch buying experience as we have been doing for the past 45+ years in business. Hopefully you will give us that chance, and this time a fair one. Happy Boating.
