The easiest way (laziest) I've found to deflate most inflatables is to get most of the air out, like you said, then gently set a 4x8 sheet of plywood on it and walk away. Come back later and pump or squeeze out the last bit.

I really want that thing! Two big wins are the space saving and the low weight. Price is not too bad. Question, if you just open the valves will it deflate enough to pack it or do you have to use the pump to suck all the air out?
@aaanglers2 ай бұрын
There is a button you have to press to release it
@paulglass72682 ай бұрын
You can use the valves and pack it without the pump. Just takes a lil longer and a tighter fit in the bag

Would I be better suited to mount my anchor wizard on the bow or stern? I usually fish rivers, might take my kayak on some smaller lakes. I usually try and go up stream so I have the current to help me back to the car when I am done fishing/tired. I like to anchor at a spot for a few minutes/break it down and move up.
@paulglass72682 ай бұрын
Stern for sure
@zachh-w3s2 ай бұрын
@@paulglass7268 Thanks for the reply. If I'm going against the current and drop an anchor from the stern will that not pull me towards the anchor from the current and eventually my kayak will turn around the opposite direction and facing downstream?
@aaanglers2 ай бұрын
We like a stern mount, and yes that will make you face downstream with the current. But you can still cast easily to the spots you want to fish.

Inflatables are game changers I have the expedition 85 packraft. I have a video on my channel showcasing how long it takes to air up and rig up with all my accessories it's under 5 minutes and i'm on the water. Cost me $267, can handle category level 3 rapids. Price is a factor if they want these things to sell. $600-800 should be the price range of packrafts. No need for a trailer no need for a roof rack just some trunk space or back seat space and your ready to hit the water. I have kayak's i have boats paddleboards but the packraft is the only thing that always comes with me. Currently 4 states away and i'm deploying my packraft everywhere. Oh and mine weighs 10 lbs so i can throw it in a backpack and take it to any mountain while the one in this video you can't. You have to be near the boat ramp which goes against the idea of inflatable kayak/packraft.
@aaanglers2 ай бұрын
That definitely serves a purpose. This is totally different from that, and that is good for some and bad for some. For someone looking to add a motor and crate and accessories, this makes way more sense. That and they are probably expecting to be near a ramp or launch. Packrafts are great for the reasons you listed. This is great for the reasons I listed. People like different things, and we showcase what we can.
