I really do love your videos and I aspire to your level of fishing someday. You really give a beginner hope and much needed guidance. Believe it or not but, you really give me a better sense of DIY and it feels good to analyze a problem and fix it on your own or just give something a little bit more character. Thanks for taking the time to put these together!

Marty, love your creativity and forward thinking of differing angles to give a very enjoyable, realistic take on your adventures. If I ever get over to the west side, I'll try to look you up. Too many holes over here on the southeast coast to leave behind to begin over on your side. All the best...

Hey Marty. Funny video. I put a rudder on my $13 inflatable intex 200 a few months ago but have been too busy to take it out. I will post a video of it as soon as I do, it should keep the boat from yawing while paddling . I am thinking of just using it for fishing under the bridges as it will not paddle very far like a kayak. I have a wooden floorboard in it I can use to secure a canvas cover to keep it from popping on something. That chair would be a lot of fun to float some rivers.

I see this video is from 2014 so don't know if you will see this or not but years ago, I had a fishing innertube similar to this. It was canvas covered and had a seat. I wear sock style hip waiders and that way I could wear swim fins to navigate my way around. This was back in the 80's and would bass fish strip mines in rural vigo county, Indiana. They were crystal clear and 100 to 200 foot deep or more. I have an old video of Babe Winkleman using the same setup in Lake Okeechobee with aligators swimming around him. I also had at one time on an old VHS tape a video of Babe fishing with Mell Tillis. I don't have it anymore as I gave it to his not so famous daughter Connie Tillis who is actually a waitress at IHOP here in Branson.

Get a sit-on-top (in my opinion) Watch the weight capacity. Scupper holes are important to have, or else you'll be sitting in a puddle. Emotion makes a spitfire in eight and nine feet. They're super cheap and about the best you'll get for close to your $250 range.
