😂 This is the reason I now kayak instead of paddleboard. I used to be able to get back on a paddleboard, but it became more and more difficult. So now I'm in a kayak with which is much more stable and I dont go too far from safety. There are various methods to aid getting back in, but as others including yourself, have said, practice makes perfect.

@@jimbland4560 by and large if you're on a canal it's not a huge issue. However if you're in a big expanse or an area where the bank sides are high and steep, then you've got a problem if you need to get back in 👍😁

@@MoreThanJustaCleaner I'm still mastering getting in an out. My third go was at Naburn Lock the other day. Thought it might be easy but the water had covered the towpath (high enough that you could *just* see the top of the handrails of the ladders and the water levels were the same height at both sides of the locks. I very nearly fell in getting back out of the boat 😀 That was a fun paddle. 50 minutes to get to the York marina against the flow. 10 minutes to get back, flow-assisted 😀

It’s good to see others try and get back in cos you do make it look easy….. just goes to show that it’s not. Appreciate the boat is ‘xtra light’ so Be interesting to see how a heavier boat fairs with. Karl Could I ask please: is the EZlite 10 any less stable than, for example, your deschutes or chelan? I ask because I have a VERY stable Sea Eagle Explorer 380x, and I want something smaller and lighter for ease of use on short day-trips with a small dog. I need something not heavier than about 13kg, which would include the EZlite10 and the deschutes 110. My main concern with the EZlite10 is stability. If you can advise me from your experience I’d be most grateful. Stuart
@MoreThanJustaCleaner14 күн бұрын
@@stuartburns8192 the EZlite isn't unstable. However the Deschutes and Chelan will always feel more stable because they're wider with flatter hulls. The EZlite V shaped hull makes it more rocky yet not tippy feeling. I hope that helps 👍😊
