Another great feature I love about the inflatable monotubs is that they take up less space if you are traveling or moving. Large plastic tubs take up a lot of space in a uhaul or a car. These inflatable and deflatable tubs make it easy to take them with you and use up less space. Great design from Ashley!!!

I'm in the midst of using her inflatable monotub right now on my 1st grow. It's well made. I am having a bit of an issue with gnats getting in through the sides that aren't velcro-ed down. The only other downside is that once you add your substrate, you can't move the tub easily, as the the bottom will not hold the weight when moving. It bows down, making the substrate at the top separating apart and not a solid bottom. I believe I can remedy that with picking it up, while sliding a flat sturdy item under to move it. I'm also using a plastic tote on another grow. It's colonizing faster, but they are different strains, so I can't judge on that. I hope it works out on this grow. I'm thinking of taping down the sides to help keep little bugs from getting in. I love the design, so I can't wait to see how this goes! I love Boomer Shroomer's channel as well. She's such a cheerful person and fun to watch her videos!

My advice is to just try to combat the fungus gnats, I grow Cannabis as well and hate dealing with the fungus gnats at any capacity, all they do is cause problems and increase risk of contamination
@cambodianbreastmilk29802 жыл бұрын
Put yellow sticky traps in your monotub from the start of your grow and you've got to be really proactive whenever you get gnats. I've just had them recently and was in there all the time killing them myself and I've got rid of them now. Also check out nemotodes they work too.

The ground isn’t solid like a Walmart tub therefore my batch had an earthquake when I moved it and failed. Some Tupperware in a Walmart tub did wonders compared to boomer shroomer tub I wasted money on. I even tried to use solid cardboard underneath it to attempt to keep the base in tact. Only place I can grow is living room and I have cats. I feel like this tub is also more prone for contamination as it’s not as secure as listed above
@DEeMONsworld2 жыл бұрын
Ok for the raw beginner who can't use a drill. Truth be told, with cubes, black liners, holes up and down, no holes etc. doesn't make much difference. critical is clean room, proper humidity and temps, FAE. and careful attention. recently ,like this last week, did an experiment, using plastic totes of various sizes, some with black bottoms some not, some with holes some without, all are fully colonized and getting hyphal knots at almost exactly the same rate. 12 days, 8 tubs ranging from a few liters to 24 liters. Technique is cheap, the mycelium will teach you quickly.

@@jeremiahbullfrog9288 noted. I don't mess with burning plastic tho. I had enough of that in my old small scale manufacturing job, working with abs and acrylic. A deburring tool is what we use to clean up any cuts or sharp edges off the CNCs or 3d printers for small parts.
@fifthtyp32 жыл бұрын
@@jeremiahbullfrog9288Pedantic and wrong. If there's smoke it's an incomplete combustion, then it's burning, not melting. If you're burning a hole with a soup can you're producing a lot of volatiles. Which I imagine will also happen with the reversed hole saw (smoking). Hence why 'melting' wasn't used in my response. Careful melting doesn't produce many as these products were thermal formed anyways, so they're made for that (thermoplastics) . But your method was too crude to be apt and suitable for what this materials heat range was made for, or for what we consider melting. I'm well aware of the micro-plastics produced from grinding, but a deburring tool is an edged blade that swivels; its a manual cutting tool, not a grinder. Still produces a small amount, but so does any type of cut on plastic

If saving $50 over 2 hours is REALLY that impressive, maybe get a better job or don't grow FOR a job? These tubs work wonderfully and are set up in under 5 minutes, nevermind the fact that they introduce so many to the sport who otherwise wouldn't even bother. Also you don't need to risk cracking the tub with a drill, oh and you better have said pre- bought drill or else the "saving money" idea means nothing. I don't see the funny in being pretentious and less efficient. I work the same 2 hours and I can order several tubs, so I did just that and gave half of them away. THAT helps people get started.
