They wanted more, so they thought killing her would allow her children (including the two children with the ex) to inherit her assets. And since they are children, the adults (the in-laws) would effectively be in control of the money. Greedy, ungrateful, and heartless scumbags. They are stupid tho. They think they can get away with killing a well known, wealthy socialite and model? Her parents and her current husband’s family are both very wealthy and would do everything in their power to find her. And family (or ex family) members with financial disputes would be prime suspects.

From what I know from watching news in both Mandarin and Cantonese, as mainland China, HK and Taiwan news all talk about this case, Abby Choi gave her mother a dream, where she told her mother that she was in a place with dogs barking and with monkeys, and the place is Dai Po 大铺. She was still reported as missing, but her mother gave the police the clue, and the police found her chopped up body exactly as Abby Choi the deceased had told her mother in the dream. According to her current husband, a moth appeared in their house and wouldn’t leave. They never had moths in the house, and that moth wouldn’t leave. They thought that moth must be the soul embodied as the moth. Her ex-husband’s family was upset that she would sell the house (which she had bought for them). Ex-father-in-law was a former HK police officer. He must have been the chief orchestrator of the whole murder and this murder was premeditated and well planned. The apartment in Dai Po where she was murdered was only rented a few weeks ago, with the murderer family preparing meat grinders, and weapons ready for the murder. They cooked her body to prevent coroners from being able to use DNA for identification. If Abby Choi didn’t give her mother a dream, her dissected body would most likely have been fully cooked and discarded as ground up and chopped up bones. Now her ex-husband’s whole family is in custody. It’s a pity HK doesn’t have death penalty, unlike in China. If this had happened in China, death penalty most likely would be given. RIP, Miss Abby Choi, a kind-hearted lady who met a bunch of ruthless and greedy wolves.
