I really felt the part about dancers actually BEING the artists as opposed to being in service to someone else’s artistic vision. And I agree that the world is actually ready for it. Some artists who really respect dance and do a whole show based on it (Janet, Tinashe, FKA twigs) are the ones pushing the art form into mainstream. Social media is already so visual and dance is the perfect art form to thrive on social media (hence why TikTok is so huge rn) so I think the future. KZbin is literally what got me into dance in the late 2010s as a college sophomore. And I feel you as well on the need for more KZbin/ long form content. I would love to see more vlogs and conversations like this on yt.
