In the US I think most large family size type bottles of juice and things usually have the wider holes while single serve drinks have the smaller one. The only exception I can think of is two liter bottles of soda which still have the small opening, but you can't use the thing on carbonated drinks anyway.

I'm so glad that the liquid is in full contact with live wires when it siphons. That seems real safe.
@bossyheifer
@bossyheifer 6 жыл бұрын
Interesting concept but clearly not entirely thought out. It doesn't look like there's a way to clean it so you have to keep it in the same liquid all the time. And what about the liquid that's trapped in the tube or nozzle area? Milk and juices can go bad or get moldy in an area like that. I wonder how long the batteries are supposed to last. Sounds like you'd constantly be replacing batteries AND the tap. Not a good plan.
@bucwhovian8305

Look at shops that specialize in people with disabilities. You will find the devices most 'as seen on TV' items are very cheap imitations of. It will be better built, easier to clean, and last much longer. I would be amazed if that PoS made it through a full gallon(little under 4 L for the metric folks) jug.

In the United States, there are a couple of different sizes of openings for bottles, but our 2 liter bottles of soda would have the same size spout as that water bottle you used (Though I do imagine many people here would buy that mistakenly thinking they could use it with soda.) I could see it fitting on the gallon jugs of milk or cider, maybe the gallon of Iced Tea, a larger bottle of juice, maybe a powerade or gatorade, but overall the problem still remains that it's easier and faster to pour drinks yourself. Also, the kids in the ad don't look old enough to pour their own drinks, no wonder there were spills.

zantanzuken Lifting something into a fridge while they're closed is a lot different than pouring it open. Also if you, I dunno, say were 80 years old and lived with your kid, do you want to have to call them every time you want a glass of milk?

While in collage I had a side job where I would go and food shop with the elderly. Where they are still handy capable to live on their own. This would help them. Also I can no longer lift heavy things regularly. But live with 2 people who can. While this isn't something I wouldn't use, even though I can't lift well any longer, I can see the point of it.

(To everyone mentioning our milk bottles in the comments, being that size makes them extremely easy to pour/lift with a single hand while reaching up into the cupboard with the other arm to grab a biscuit. Not the intended reason I'm sure, but it's a darn good one!)

3:00 maybe they are worried that the thing might explode. You are putting electronics directly into a liquid. and it seems to be fan based, so it might get extra oxygen in there. So I am pretty sure it has all of the same elements as a combustion engine. Minus the engine that could contain the blast.

The only way I can see that product as being hygienic is if it's thrown away after each use. It's a real germ trap! I also noticed that if the drink containers weren't fairly full or being held, the container would get pushed over. As for the bottle opening, it's likely they have wider mouthed bottles, in the USA. They sure as hell have gigantic bottles of milk! I don't think they exist in Australia, because there's not such a market for gluttons. Well, there probably is, but I still haven't seen those giant bottles.
