The French have an expression, "l'esprit d'escalier" -- literally "the spirit of the staircase," basically that feeling when you think of the perfect reply too late, once you're already out the door and halfway down the stairs. INTPs have that problem too. I think it's partly Se PoLR (unable to push yourself to say what you're thinking in the moment) and countervalued Ni (resistant to coming to a singular conclusion until way later). It's probably worse for INFPs with their Fi, but I think INTPs might beat themselves up over it more because of their inferior Fe.

INFP here, if it's a painful kind of thing, just say it no matter how misunderstood the statement will be. Even if they can't understand the core problem, people who know you are sad and in problem will still help you anyways. There will be a point when you blabber enough misunderstood information, the real picture start to emerges from it. It's great having a friend who finds my weird way of saying things funny and charming. She always listens as I always listened to her. It took my breaking point to finally open up and be more honest with my emotions. It took a while, but the things I said start to become clear to her. Also being shittily open with my frustrations actually attracted the right people to offer some words of comfort. I work with an INFP. This imitation is quite accurate. I can see him dealing with an internal struggle every day. I feel bad for him sometimes. We talk about it often and he seems to like and respect me so he opens up and talks to me. I never share what we talk about so he trusts me. He is very misunderstood at work and gets teased a lot, which makes me feel very protective of him. I often talk with the other guys about easing up and not targeting him. Sometimes you have to put yourself in someone else’s shoes and think about how you would feel if the same things were being said or done to you. If any of you know someone with an INFP personality type, I would encourage you to show them love and that you care. This will mean the world to them. as an INFP, this totally resonated... my friends always tell me that when they first met me, I show little to no interest engaging in a conversation with them..especially in a group setting and everything is just so sophisticated in my own head when its just..talking to other humans lmao (yes I'm very bad at making small talks with strangers or acquaintances) and because I'm so self-aware that I looked bad for not engaging, I will try starting a sentence and didn't know where it goes...and ITS JUST SO HARD. in conclusion, INFP suffer A MAD LOT in social situations so they'd rather not. 😂

@someonerandom7135 жыл бұрын
@@greenguy2372 True. I'm not trying to put ESTJs down. If it sounded that way, I apologize. I have the impression that ESTJs in particular are a generally disliked type in the typology realm. Fi is personally directed emotional intelligence. ESTJs have it inferior, INFPs have it dominant. So INFPs deal with their own emotions much more comfortably than ESTJs do. Those ESTJs who do use their Fi like this have overcome a personal weakness. So that's pretty wise for an ESTJ, because not all ESTJs acknowledge emotion like that. Would have been wise for an ENTJ, too. It's about inferior Fi to me.

I find the last part to be true, however I am kinda tired of seeing the same depiction of an INFP all the time. Also dominant Fi often makes you hide your problems and negative emotions especially in front of a complete stranger. Other than that great video as usual, keep up the good work!

And as for the memory problems... yeah take some vitamins. I hope everybody is physically and mentally healthy, and I hope this comment actually helped because I believe there is always a reason for doing something, or crying about something!
