What I respect about Dr. Umar approach is he doesn’t just say you messed up, he gives examples about how to get better. A leader gives examples and a judger just say you messed up.

@Ezekiel365Days
@Ezekiel365Days 7 ай бұрын
Less time is better or none because Umar loves to hear himself yet he lacks true leadership traits. Nothing is built by Umar be it a community, a person or an institution that he claims yet no one has ever seen because it’s all a fantasy made up in his head. When people in the black community are hurt you won’t find Umar fighting or speaking as a voice of teh people for them. When governments are unjust towards blacks again no Umar. If a pod cast and social media is your only grounds of communication then you will never lead teh people. This was a waste of anyone’s time especially yours

@@beverleyreid7572gift lol not even close more like a curse. Yes he may have the gift of gab and that’s all. See how sad that is that the leaders of teh community only love to talk and teh black community love talkers but any other race of communities tehy have people who act and get things done because talking is cheap and not enough nor is it effective enough for a race of people who keep themselves in oprression

@Ezekiel365Days the thing with “OUR” ppl it doesn’t matter who leads or may or may not listen. You can’t anybody want to do better or want better. We as a ppl choose to stay Lost! At least he is taking the time to talk to whoever wants to hear what he is talking about. He could be out here talking about bullshit, rapping, or misleading our younger generation. Which he would get paid wayyyyyyy more money and ppl like you wouldn’t have nothing to say to him then. Either you hear to get the message or you not!!!!!!

@@Tiffanyc218 dude them stop following frauds like Umar if that’s how you feel. Just a because others are doing wrong doesn’t mean your own should do the same. It’s no wonder the world doesn’t take black people serious because “leadership” in the black “communities” are all talk and no action while in every other communities the ones who take actions are praised above the mere master grabbers (like Umar Kohnson). In other words choose a better leader than criminals and frauds otherwise don’t cry like a female dog when your leader is being called out for their fakeness and it’s people worship such a fraud

My daughter received a U in conduct and an A in grade. I went to her teacher and told her that she was not challenging enough for my daughter, and demanded that she gets her tested in the Gifted and Talented Program. Guess what? She passed it with flying colors, put in a gifted program, and never received another U. Parents need to get involved in their children's lives, especially at school.

I see that he is in a place or honesty being honest about his life, the choices he has made, and identifying what's helpful and what's harmful. But not just doing that for himself but for other men like him so they can have a reflection to reflect upon. I applaud his bravery, and I hope he finds what he's looking for

@@LyricsReality383 Personally, I feel like it’s a time to talk & a time to be quiet, Nick is in a place where he has mad haters that want to take him down. We all make mistakes, so what if he made a couple in his life, he’s not perfect, but if he feels he went wrong then change the behavior, not tell everyone. I wish Nick would keep it strictly on the subject and not always make it about him and his family personal life, the information from the counselors will help others along with his changed behaviors, telling all his business and talking to much can get him in trouble.

As Buffett says: You want to associate with people who are the kind of person you'd like to be. You'll move in that direction. And the most important person by far in that respect is your spouse. Never take advice from people who aren't getting the results you want.
@IM-qy7mf
@IM-qy7mf 7 ай бұрын
This is the type of advice that sounds good until you analyze it mathematically and pragmatically: if you're only worried about associating with people that are where you'd like to be, everyone will end up alone, since no one will want to be with someone "beneath" them (for lack of better term). How about we show gratitude towards friendships of circumstances (friends that meet us where we are at the moment) while working to meet people that can help us, so that we can, then, in turn, be of help to our friends of circumstances?

That "Spiritual Vampire" term made me think of my wife. She said that the fact that I'm a loner and I don't make an effort for to go out and make friends or build relationships so we can have people in our lives will cause the marriage to end. Its fucking draining because shes trying to force me to be a social butterfly and that's not my personality. Also every holiday she's sad because we dont have people to spend holodays with since both of our families aren't close. We're supposed to go sat with a counselor about it but this is draining for me.

Tell her to leave you alone by yourself and go make friends of her own and hang out with them as often as she can. Im sure she'll run into a man who loves how social she is and wants to make it his job to keep her happy. Then she'll divorce you for him and you'll never have to worry about meeting her needs again. You get to be alone and she gets to be wirn someone who likes being social. #WinWin

@slickwilly6868 .. wow Mr slick please don’t listen to these two. Thanks for sharing with the public; you didn’t have to and you didn’t ask for advice. My two cents.. counseling is a great idea! You two have severely diff needs in these areas and counseling will help you both determine whether they both can be met within the marriage. That’s for you two to conclude. Counselor won’t tell you or give you the answer but a good one will help you both figure it out together. Kudos to you!! Wish you both the best. Also, you’re totally right(!) to assert your needs and so is your wife. Nobody has to be or is wrong in your situation. It just is what it is 🤷‍♀️

Nope. I want to be a whole wife to one husband. I think it's Alpha for a man to be faithful to one !

Just because someone talks to someone that is married, doesn’t mean that individual doesn’t want one for itself. It’s called low self-esteem and the devil’s playground

Admitting your faults on camera isn’t easy. No one is ever going to willingly sit in the hot seat, so I don’t blame him for being quick to acknowledge that he’s making the effort to work on himself lol.

@tedrichardson5017 Umar doesn't. He is homeless, unemployed, deadbeat father who doesn't have a relationship with his daughters or support them financially. So yeah he should be the last person to talk about the black family structure
