Those Koopalings fights are so common to the point I saw some parodies of boss rush. One course I liked a lot, is where you think you start a random boss rush on a badly designed room with a Lemmy. After a few second, you suddenly saw Lemmy throwing himself into the lava. And second room, Morton kills himself on a Pow. And all the course is like this. There is no challenge, but it was fun. The course was "The Koopalings were a mistake." for those who want to try it (5V0-72V-HYG).

The funny thing is the koopalings were hated on after nsmb wii since they were reused so much, but when they were put into mario maker 2 everyone loved them i guess people probably wanted to make koopalings harder and use mechanics like Lemmy’s balls and Morton’s fireballs to their advantage (i swear if you guys say anything about lemmy’s balls...)

I wanna make an entire boss fight where one of them is in a giant mech and your inside of it (the mech is the level) and the final boss fight would be (arguably Ludwig) a giant puzzlw that would change every time you get a hit on Ludwig. But wait theres more. After you thought you had won there's another pipe. The final fight is actually Bowser. ( *DRY BOWSER AND DRY BOWSER JR NEED TO BE ADDED* ) His fight would be more action packed instead of puzzle packed. You would be transported to a giant brick castle and you basically have to rely on Bowsers fireballs to get out and escape (There is no way to bear him in this level). Then the real final battle occurs. Your transported to (random location), and all the Koopalings are here with Bowser. Basically the Koopalings would be trapped in sides of the battlefield so that they don't move and where meaning that you would have to constantly have to dodge their attacks and defeat Bowser. After you beat Bowser you get to the little Axe that let's you defeat the last of the Koopalings. I would probably name this level: Koopalings Kastle. (The k was on purpose) Now I just need a Nintendo Switch🙂

I did something like this with the koopalings but it was all of em at once there in my course called the new bosses which is full of bosses I made and they are 1. Spike top army you beat it with the cape feather and the pow blocks by blowing the spike top up 2. The koopaling robot it has all the koopalings (including bowser jr) and you beat it with the star and p balloon cuz I couldn’t find any other way to defeat it 3. Mythical bowser this boss is bowser but in the air with the koopalings (including bowser jr flying around hi and is beaten same way as the koopaling robot cuz against over wise it too op.

I don't have SMM2 myself, but seeing how the clouds can be destroyed by enemies like that, I bet you could make something similar to the Bowser Battle in SMB3, where you have to get him to smash through the floor and fall. Probably a few layers of clouds above a switch to reveal the exit door. You can't have a key appear when the boss dies, or else the player could just kill the enemy normally. I do have to ask, what difference does it make when you put wings on a Koopaling? I didn't notice anything other than visuals, and Ludwig maybe getting some slightly longer airtime when he jumps.

These really would be interesting if they weren’t brainless levels of easy. A checkpoint after every 2 fights and multiple power ups before, after, and sometimes during the room. You can make the enemy relatively easy with no power ups, or super hard with power ups. Easy with power ups is just boring
