That is a great compressor for the home or farm. I've run a smaller 60 gallon single stage for many years with no issues. Those motors will last a lifetime. I installed an extension at the bottom of the tank to make draining the condensation easier. I did not feel the need or cost for a complex dryer or added lines. I just drain it after each use. Good luck.

I have a little 20 gallon IR and it's bad ass for the size. but mine has wheels. I feel like alot of people would have dropped that thing going up the stairs, smart way of getting it up there

I think you picked a good one.

Did you adjust the pressure screw yet? Mine only goes up to 160PSI and shuts off. There are no leaks or anything. There is an adjustment screw under the cover on where the electric wire goes.
@LifeWithChase7 жыл бұрын
nah hadn't adjusted it, it goes up to 165 thats enough for me

Holy cow brother! I wish I could have loaned you my backhoe for that move. I am looking at the same air compressor. I'd love a Quincy but at twice the price for twice the life, I find myself looking at this. And this ain't no Harbor Freight by any means. Lots of professional mechanic shops make a living with this thing. I figure even this one might out live me so why pay more for life I won't use. How is the noise level? I hear some IRs are really loud and some are fairly quiet.... for their size.....depending on the model.
@LifeWithChase6 жыл бұрын
its kinda loud but not as loud as some, I wanted an eaton compressor but I could buy 2 of these and still be cheaper, and tractor supply has these in stock. anything else i would have had to order, so far its worked good for the money. check out my other vids I have one of installing a water drain on it and one installing a water trap and pressure regulator.

christ - in canada these have literally tripled in price since 2017 when this was filmed. i'm considering buying one of these compressors. 6 years later - do you still like it?
@LifeWithChase9 ай бұрын
Still working fine. Was a good value at the time, not sure now days though. I wanted something a little bigger for the rare occasion I might need it but couldn't pass this up for the price back then. I don't use it every day, but it does get a good workout when I have a project going on.

What part of the country are you in? Only seen the 60 gallon ones at my local tractor supply in Tennessee
@LifeWithChase7 жыл бұрын
louisiana, I thought most all the tractor supplys had these search their website and do the store locate and it will tell you which stores closest to you has them or you can order one and have it shipped to your store

Hi.. You still liking your Ingersoll compressor? Would you buy it again? How long does it take to fill up from empty? Thanks

You're a young guy and a good compressor is the type of thing you only buy once. Now my wife had a problem with that logic, but you don't have that problem. You should have run an air line back from the shop when you did the electrical. Then you could have an air outlet in your house like the rest of us. You know, for dusting or suping-up the dishwasher, that sort of thing. I used 1/2 " PEX. So far so good. Just kidding. Nice unit. KIT d
