I feel this is a wrong interpretation of the change in rules. The safety glazing material is basically the BIS for glass manufacturers for cars and not for end-users. What all types of glasses are allowed is mentioned there. Personally, I don't think it works for end consumers. Also adding a film to the glass will make the glass more vulnerable in case of an accident. "Safety glazing material means a glazing material constructed, treated, or combined with other materials to minimize the likelihood of cutting and piercing injuries resulting from human contact. Laminated glass, safety glass, safety plastic, tempered glass, and wined glass are examples of safety glazing material." This is basically not the film you can stick on glass. (3) The safety glass or safety glazing used for side windows of every motor vehicle shall be so manufactured to provide not less than fifty percent visual transmission of light and it shall conform to Indian Standards IS 2553 (Part 2) (Revision 1): 2019 as amended from time to time. ഈ 2 നിയമ ഭേതഗതികളാണ് പുതുക്കിയ MVI Act-ൽ ഉൾപെടുത്തിയത്. കോപ്പി കിട്ടാൻ G.S.R.457(E) മോട്ടോർ വെഹിക്കിൾ ആമേൻഡ്‌മെന്റ് ഗൂഗിളിൽ സെർച്ച്‌ ചെയ്താൽ മതി. നിലവിൽ ഈ റൂൾ ഇന്ത്യയിൽ എല്ലായിടത്തും അപ്ലിക്കേബിളാണ്. ഇനി ഇവിടുത്തെ പ്രശ്നം എന്താണെന്നാൽ, ഉത്പാദിപ്പിക്കുന്ന സേഫ്റ്റി ഗ്ലാസും സേഫ്റ്റി ഗ്‌ളൈസിങ് മെറ്റീരിയലും windshield/rear glass 70% വിസിബിലിറ്റിയും സൈഡ് ഗ്ലാസുകളിൽ 50% വിസിബിലിറ്റിയും വേണമെന്ന്‌ പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട്, എന്നാൽ വാഹനമുപയോഗിക്കുന്നയാൾക്ക് ഈ പറഞ്ഞ സേഫ്റ്റി ഗ്‌ളൈസിങ് മെറ്റീരിയൽ സ്വന്തം ഇഷ്ടപ്രകാരം പതിപ്പിക്കാമെന്നോ പതിപ്പിക്കരുതെന്നോ എങ്ങും പറഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ല. അതായത് പേപ്പർ ഒട്ടിച്ചാൽ പിടിക്കാനും പിടിക്കാതിരിക്കാനും സാധ്യതയുണ്ടെന്ന് പറയേണ്ടിവരും 😅😅 വിശദമായ നിയമോപദേശം MVD തേടിയിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നു ഇന്നത്തെ മനോരമയിൽ കണ്ടു. അതായിത് വ്യകതമായൊരുത്തരം തത്ക്കാലം അവർക്കുമില്ല..!!
