Very beautiful. I'm playing it right now on my wooden C. Whistle. Very beautiful song. This was one of my first Irish airs I learned about 3 years ago.I love the way that he plays,and very lovely scenery.

So many beautiful Irish songs. I really think our rebellious history brings out the best in us. People don't write songs about the places they come from our where they've been. There must be a song for every county in Ireland.

For those who haven't handled one, the Low D Whistle is HUGE, and to play it at all you need huge hands and long fingers! To play it as delicately as this, you also need a huge heart. Fair play to you, and thanks for the tunes.

robert allen I just got my Tony Dixon D today and it sounds great with this! I’m going to the local soccer field to play it over and over so I don’t drive my family crazy!
@juliewall61952 жыл бұрын
I thought this too at first, but you don't actually need huge man hands, lots of girls play the low D. I fell in love with the Chieftain V5 (Kerry whistles) which has a breathy sound like the whistle played here and I had to have one. I have arthritic hands and cramped up terribly at first but once I mastered the pipers grip it became easier. Anyone can play using a pipers grip and the Kerry whistles site has a series of tutorial videos you might be interested to watch.

@abiezercoppe88868 жыл бұрын
Not exactly "traditional". Inisheer was written relatively recently by Thomas Walsh, a button accordion player from Dublin, still alive and active etc.
@Proud2BaPaddy3 жыл бұрын
Tradional can be modern. It doesn'thave to be written a long time ago.. It is whatever fits into the Irish tradional genre
