Initial D (2005) Eurobeat Edit (Scene 2)

My rough draft of a Eurobeat edit of the first racing scene of Initial D (2005). I started watching this movie, expecting to hear the iconic Eurobeat soundtrack from the anime. When the soundtrack turned out to be extremely lame, I decided to try editing Eurobeat in instead. This is the result...
I did this with Adobe Premiere, knowing absolutely nothing about A/V editing going in. If anything sounds weird, it's because the dialogue and SFX were on on the same audio channel as the music. So I had to try covering up the original soundtrack by lowering all the original volume, or butchering it with some filters. Sometimes I had to mute the original sound altogether.

Differences between anime and live action I spotted: Bunta Anime: Bunta drinks every once in a while and is chill with Takumi. Live Action: Bunta is an abusive alcoholic who is quite mean. Itsuki Anime: Itsuki Takeuchi idolized Takumi and his AE86 from the beginning but got an AE85 Levin by mistake, is an employee under Yuichi in a gas station, and had no clue about Natsuki engaging in enjo-kosai, his character also being the comic relief of the series. Live Action: Itsuki Tachibana is the son of Yuichi the gas station manager, and he begged for a Skyline GT-R until Takumi beat him, and got an AE86 Trueno just like Takumi. He was also the one who broke the news about Natsuki to Takumi, and his character is much more bratty and arrogant. Kyouichi Anime: Kyouichi simply speaks facts, he does think the AE86 is inferior, but he does not trash talk it like Seiji. Known for playing safe and using proven methods instead of experimenting. Live Action: Kyouichi is as arrogant as Seiji and got into a crash because he did not listen to the race control, something anime Kyouichi would never do. He also looks like a gangster instead of just a racer. Takeshi Anime: Takeshi hates drifting and favors grip driving. Live Action: Takeshi drifts on every corner.

lil Put They SOUND very similar. Enough that it is distracting for someone who knows a couple repetitive Japanese words in the series but then those words are replaced. Like the “3...2...1” countdown. For someone who knows nothing, it doesn’t sound different.
