Cars' physics are actually animated better than first stage, or even the legend movie! Such attention to detail, even heel n toe and dashboard are animated realistically (which were actually a problem in original initial d). You can now see drivers' techniques, not just hear them. Really lovin' it, keep it up!

@@yzkn8848 welp, the show was made with help from Keichi Tsuchiya, so the techniques used were actually real. The only thing not so real is Fujiwara zone. Maybe, there were some other things but I don't remember much now.

You do realize the anime started in like 1998? They did however kept improving the animation over time at each stage. Besides, I'd rewatch first stage any day over new crappy anime with their horrid and stiff CGI.

I really love how the more I replay this, the more neat details I start to notice. Act.1 (0:18) The characters in the background beside Takumi's 86 aren't just randomly placed models but are in fact the main cast of the Akina Speed Stars. For a split second as Takumi shifts from Neutral to 1st gear, we can see that his 86 rocks a Kenwood stereo with HD/ USB and Ipod features. As both the 86 and FC rev, the cars lightly shake a little, replicating the action of revving at a stop realistically. Throughout most of the corners, background characters can be seen to show more spectators of the race (not really minor, but still a neat addition) (This one is more obvious with headphones) At 2:02 you can hear the sound of the guardrails' support pillars flying by. As Ryosuke exits the corner at 2:07 (And a few other corners) you can see the taillights of his FC leave a trail behind which feels like a nice nod to Initial D's later stages. Immediately following to the cut at 2:08 we can see the reflection of the moonlight shine off of Takuim's 86 (This one is probably obvious too, but details like this add so much realism to an animation.) At 2:37 if you pay close attention to the rev limiter, it accurately revs with Ryosuke's downshifting, of note too is Ryosuke does actually tap the clutch twice in this same scene. The camera angle for Ryosuke's FC at 2:56 feels like a nice nod to the Legend movies, as a similar camera angle can be seen of Takumi's 86 in Legend 1. As Takumi bumps the front of the rear wheel arch on the guardrail at 3:15 (which accurately leaves sparks and pushes out the rear of the car too too), he quickly glances with a very worried expression before turning his attention back to the road. (This one's easy to spot but I think the sheer expression of Takumi in this one scene is flawless, showing his worry for damaging the 86.) Act. 2 (3:32) At 4:03 when we shift to Takumi, he's now sweating from the pressure Ryosuke is putting on him. At 5:43, the exhaust on the 86 can be seen jiggling about slightly, as it would on the real car, or any car for that matter. Act. 3 (6:16) 6:21, Shingo is wearing his "Mugen Motorsports" shirt from the manga and Arcade stage games. 7:05, If you look at the 86's watanabe rims, they seem to slow before speeding up once more (Which is accurate to how our eyes perceive wheels at a fast pace irl, this is known as the "wagon wheel" effect, shoutout to Divinity for helping me find the correct term), the same can be seen for the FC moments later. 7:34, Ryosuke bounces the RPM throughout the final corner, a nice attention to detail. - Abdullah Isdanul. Currently that is all I've found, however should I spot more or anyone else have finds I don't have yet, throw in a comment, I'll edit this and credit those who find things before me.

No matter how many words I write, it wouldn't even come close to describe what I feel right now. Waiting for the premiere was totally worth it. The amount of detail and care put into this animation is just outstanding, not only was the FULL battle recreated, but also the character models to give the extra level of adrenaline and excitement during the whole race, specially in the last corner. I'm so glad I had the privilege to watch this incredible work, it shows not only how great of a fan you are, but how far you've come since your first animation. Incredible job as always, I look forward to your future projects!

This really took me back. I discovered Initial D in the early 2000s, when I was just in middle school. Spent many hours at the arcades, playing ver. 1, 2, and 3. I remember putting the memory card "license" on top of the arcade, waiting for my turn to race. I remember collecting the Tokyo Pop DVD's and manga, which I still have to this day. When I was in college, they came out with 5th stage. Initial D has been with me for a good portion of my life. Thank you for this. You have no idea what Initial D means to me.

хочу написать свое развернутое мнение об этом видео, не знаю, нужно ли, но пусть будет, вдруг пригодится)) начну с плюсов: на физику поведения автомобилей, как обычно, уделили достаточно внимания, так держать!) и автомобиль кренится из стороны в сторону, и входы/выходы в занос выглядят реалистично, торможение, разгон, все соблюдено графика топ, сказать нечего, тут тоже все сохранилось с прошлых видео) переходы суперские, сначала затемнение и постепенное уменьшение количества звука, потом реплики с другой локации, с неподвижной камеры и начало другой музыки - это просто шедевр (мне ещё понравилось, что в момент заезда Тойоты в небольшую канавку музыка не сменилась и не исчезла, хотя в оригинале там был другой саундтрек, менее приятный, а тут ещё даже лучше. впринципе тут над музыкой хорошо поработали, везде играет, кроме моментов с переходами, в итоге это даже добавляет атмосферы) добавление в кадр персонажей и их комментарий с переводом в субтитрах на русском и английском языке - прорыв!) продолжай) салон автомобилей и персонажи выглядят хорошо, даже не учитывая, что это впервые здесь, респект положение, движение, приближение камер - все сохранено и похоже на оригинальную версию, это тоже порадовало), + концовка топовая, без лишнего сюжет соблюдён полностью, все происходит там, где и было, так же, как и было это в оригинальном сериале плюсов может и меньше, чем минусов, но плюсы, все же, огромные, и возможно не все плюсы были замечены, тем не менее, минусы: как мне видится (и я считаю это самым правильным), лучше реплики оставить во время переходов и перед самим заездом, хотелось бы не просто более короткую копию сериала с подтянутой графикой, а чтобы было чуть меньше лишних фрагментов, которые можно не вставлять. например, из реплики от водителей, было бы уместнее оставить только реплики начиная с "ты слишком быстр, ты ошибся" до "я думал он оторвется, но, что удивительно, отрыв не вырос. шанс ещё есть". остальное, как по мне, со стороны водителя Тойоты и Мазды - лишнее, хотя, можно оставить до удивления водителя рыксы 7 в уменьшении расстояния между ними. но, конечно, я думаю, что уместно будет оставить разговоры именно с сериала, то есть не так, чтобы было понятно, а так, чтобы нужно было хоть чуть разбираться в этой всей тематике) 4:53 - придирка, но мне кажется, что оба решили подрифтовать чисто вне апекса🤣 мелкая недоработка? или так было в оригинале? впринципе, получилось классно, и ещё мне нравится, что увеличилась продолжительность ролика и лишнего в нем немного, атмосфера топовая и впринципе кроме тех минусов, как по мне, особо нету недоработок и кардинально ничего лучше не менять, по чуть чуть. я не умею делать ролики подобного уровня и совсем не разбираюсь в этом, но, надеюсь, этот комментарий не будет лишним))

Кстати, для него это не первый опыт "добавления" персонажей и реплик. До этого он на SFM анимации делал (Gmod stage) со своим сожетом, но они аудитории не зашли. Но опыт он приобрел и использовал в блендере
