Awesome work again on this one. I am always torn on whether I like Keisuke's Stage 1 or Stage 4 FD better, they're both so iconic. Your precision is enviable! Such excellent attention to detail. Nice build Jun!

I would definitely pick the one from state 4. I just like its aggressiveness. The Mazdaspeed kit from the start of project D(before he crashed into the barrier)also looks pretty good. And as always, thank you for watching my videos.

The build of Keisuke Takahashi’s Project D RX-7 model was incredibly satisfying to watch! Excellent job capturing all the details.

That stringy superglue had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Talk about dramatic tension! Aoshima does a great job with their paint for sure. This looks so good out of the box.

Yeah that thick glue strings were making me nervous. Fortunately they stayed where they were supposed to be.😩

Lovely RX-7 right there Jun. This is one of my favorite cars from the Initial D series. Always a pleasure seeing you assemble these pre-painted, well done.

Thank you very much Karl. As a fan of Initial D myself I do enjoy putting these kits together.👍

Jun! Stop doing pre painted kits. Your skills are way too good for these. Please do another used, weathered car! Please!

I will definitely be making more weathered builds. Those are my favorite!👍

This is my dream modelkit and i wish one day ill build one , but i see that the front of the car looks weird not only on your copy
@JunsMiniGarage13 күн бұрын
Yeah I agree with you. The design of this kit is not 100 percent accurate. It could also use a lowered suspension. Nevertheless, the painted version is still a good kit for anyone who is into Initial D and doesn’t wanna bother with painting.👍

Awesome build! Congratulations! Are there other kits for this RX-7 in other colors on the market?
@JunsMiniGarage11 күн бұрын
There are. I have seen a red RX-7 but you will have to look for it. These kits are hard to find.👍

Why do you use the Revell glue in some places and plastic cement in others?
@JunsMiniGarage13 күн бұрын
Great question! Revell has a thicker consistency and takes slightly longer to dry, giving me more time to make position adjustments. Tamiya cement is extra thin so it flows through gaps quickly(sometimes too quickly)and dries fast. If I am not careful with Tamiya’s cement it might easily run to places where I don’t want it to be. But it’s all based on my own experience and judgment. And honestly you can just use super glue for all if you don’t wanna deal with multiple glues. It works just as well.👍

@@JunsMiniGarage I do the same thing, i have a Bobs industry plastic cement that i use for the majority of the main parts, its been a great do everything glue. dries in like a 3 minutes or less. it at first was weird since it uses a brush to apply the glue but i have found i almost have more control with it escpially for getting smaller parts since it doesnt run like Tamiya. idk its hit or miss i have come to like it quite alot lol

@JunsMiniGarage thanks for the thorough answer! I have both so was intrigued. I usually build Gunpla but have bought this kit for something a little different.

5:12 What would happen if paint wasnt removed before applying plastic cement?

My first two kits were so terrible I named them Honda Civic Super Glue mark II and Toyota Supra Sand Mark Edition😩
@影-f2u8 күн бұрын
why does the paint need to be removed before glueing them together?
@JunsMiniGarage7 күн бұрын
Great question. Plastic cement works by melting plastic and rejoining them together permanently. The paint covers the plastic underneath which makes it harder for the glue to work. If you use super glue you won’t have to scrape the paint off the surface.

OMG, a lot of gluing and fragile parts.... Looks like you shouldn't have any children building and having these kits.
@JunsMiniGarage10 күн бұрын
These model kits are a little different from the toy cars children usually play with as they do contain very small parts and the assembly does require the use of certain glue and precision.👍
