Oh nice! I have the Blue one and the Gray one. This batch was sold separately. I don't think it was ever on their site but was sold through certain reps. But I could be wrong on that one. I'm sad to report that the ones on the website are not the ones shipping to my knowledge.

they aren't shipping and they just pushed the projected date back from April 1st to May 1st which most likely means they will continue to get pushed back. the "We the People" and yellow and purple trippin' bats with the alloy handle were a separate batch/shipment from the popular paint M5 releases that are currently on the monsta site.

I have been eagerly anticipating the review of the alloy handle, looks like it holds up to the old handles. I might have to give an M5 a look this year

the only M5 bat that has the alloy handle at the moment is the "We the People" that he swung in the video. the 10 popular paint job M5 re-releases that are coming out hopefully sometime in May will have the alloy handles as well but there is always the chance that they will get delayed.

I question just how much thinner the alloy handle is, if at all, as opposed to the composite. For instance, the handle on my grape torch is thinner than that of my 1pc Carnage. Which Monstas did you compare the handle difference to?

sorry on the delay! I haven't measured them at this point. I should get the tool out to do so to see just how much thinner the alloy is. I agree that non all Monsta handles seem to be the same width. But the alloy, at least from my perception, can be noticed to be thinner than the normal Torch immediately, especially if using the same grip/tape every time. I will try to get some time to measure at some point. Have you been able to try the alloy at all?

@@bathound I have an RM alloy Torch and have confirmed that the alloy handle is in fact thinner than other Monsta handles. I have yet to swing the alloy Torch.

I agree with Stephano Vargas...Monsta bat's are very unique and hot at the same time...I just got myself a Monsta Gangreen weighing in at 25oz...but it feels like a 27oz....why is that?

the midload bats can often feel heavier than they actually are. Why? I don't know the answer to that haha.

Love mine. Not as hot as my OG WTP torches but pretty impressed. Going to break it in more tomorrow and get some radar numbers. Mine scales in at 25.4 with a 1.8 mm Lizzard skin grip (since it has a thinner handle) and my OG’s weigh 25.5 with a 1.1 lizzard skin grip.

Did the “we the people” one sell out pretty quick? I didn’t even see it on the website. Got the pink torch and the galaxy one on the way. And how’d you manage to get one so quick??

I'm not sure if the WTP are sold out or not. They weren't sold on the site but through different reps and distributers I guess. You could check with Gulmon Nick on FB. That is who I purchased through. I did actually get it any earlier than the other customers. It just wasn't super well known because it wasn't on the site.

Another great review. I’m waiting to get outside to review mine. I was a distributor on these bats as well and there was so much argument about the handle. It’s somewhere between a 3900 and 4500. Carl told me comparable to 4500, then told some others around a 4000 so it’s hard to say. I’ve heard distance is better with the alloy handle but the mishits are felt a little more!

good point. I would imagine that would be the case. I can't say I notice differences in feel as much as others speak about. I notice it in performance but not as much feel, except for like mishits and such. Sorry I'm not much help on that.

Monsta bats are the most confusing, weirdest, hottest bats I’ve ever seen. They have a bunch of different models that no one knows the difference (M2, M5, sinister), then they have different handles, then they have different league stamps, and on top of that they all have different repaints which all have different tech. Literally the most confusing bats. And all weighing 25 ounces……like wtf 😳

Yeah it can get pretty confusing. The good thing is that you can always go on their facebook page and ask what a certain bat is, like if it is a repaint of something. To date they are the only company I am aware of that will publicly tell you what the bat is. Then, once you keep learning all the different specs and such it becomes more clear. But your point is still valid, it can get confusing.

just because you are daft and can't understand the difference doesn't mean that the vast majority don't either. M2 = M5. M4 = M6. the sinister is their one piece model. the lower the handle number the more flex the handle has. they only have two different stamps which is USA/ASA and USSSA. repaints won't be different tech from their original model and no, not all of their bats are 25.

He is not daft. Common confusion (not necessarily complaints since they are great bats) I've heard from other softball players. All the repaints, shifting theme paint names, handle flexes and alloy differences.

How do you think the new LS "4 the fallen" stacks up against monsta?

I haven’t found a Louisville Slugger bat for ASA/USA that gives me great performance yet. I was hopeful with the 4TF and Genesis but they just didn’t get there for me.

New white one is better then the 2022. It feels like the softed the barrel up some for the new model. The bat was hot from swing one.

Noooooo ! Lol. I just bought a M5 sinister (mad hatter) a couple days ago. Wish I waited a few days to buy this one given the handle is clearly better :(.

Definitely can't go wrong with a sinister. I have a feeling the sinister I was swinging in the video is in a sort of quiet zone. Sometimes the Monsta FIB bats do that, where their performance drops. My understanding is that it can happen as the inner barrel gets further broken in. Give it another 100-200 swings and then it is on a new level. I've seen it happen numerous times.

@@bathound One thing for sure is if you add a stiff handle to a one piece it will be even more stiff then usual so perhaps the 2 piece with stiff handle is the safer bet. But yeah not even sure if they do this either.

I’ve hit Monsta and Anarchy .. I find the Anarchy’s Loco LC and the Nimmo Xcore to be hotter and more consistent

The Anarchy Nimmo is either my second or third favorite Anarchy bat. Great choice. I've wondered if I should give more attempts with the Loco. Looks great and feels great in the zone.
