I got this this vest because I'm required to have certified armor that can be concealed under my uniform and didn't want to go 2 to cheap. Thanks for the review it helped me pick it out.

Thanks for the no BS review. I have been looking at the RMA Contego (OEM Slate Solutions), of which there is nothing online except one video by IraqVeteran8888. But this looked like a slightly cheaper alternative with lots of reviews. I'm wondering if that Premier Body Armor Discreet Executive vest is better than both for concealment though. It's even more expensive and lacks the overlapping side protection, but it looks like the least bulky.

You probably have the wrong size. Just saying.

I wear a compression shirt on top of my vest it holds the vest very close to the body and gets rid of the "bulges." and allows better concealability.

But I also wear an Ethos lll 3 A vest from GH Armour. Its FBI and DEA certified/Complient.

(17:13) The USA Nuclear Bombs in it’s Arsenal are made in the USA, with ZERO doubt, however, Uranium or Plutonium is sourced elsewhere. Made in the USA usually means assembled or put together (hence manufactured) in the USA. The actual armour panels reads that it is manufactured in Nevada (hence the date), which means made in the USA. But it is possible that some materials are sourced from outside the US. Contrary to unpopular belief, everything is not indigenous to the US… 🤔

For sure, but it's a good rule of thumb for me when buying body armor to buy plates or panels that say made in America. The same with medical gear.I get it; we're all ballin on a budget, but Caveat emptor and whatever. Either way, thanks for watching.

I think its a fair and non biased review. Everyone is different in their own situation. I've worn it as PMC and guard and will say I've never had anything puncture it from bottles, shanks, knives, ice picks, etc. I personally havent been shot wearing it, and hope i never do. But your comments and concerns are valid. Is it alittle bulky, yep! Is it concealable; those that know know and let it at that. I dont think your wrong in your dissertation. I wear it alot in my job as a HS teacher, and sometimes it does stand out. But then again 2 tours in Iraq and 1 in Afghanistan, those that know know.

The iiia panels are finally nij certified for that ballistic rating, although the spike/stab rating on their iia+ is not. They claim the rifle rated one is in the pipeline for nij approval.
@Chilloutmusix3 жыл бұрын
Just ordered mines last week, arriving tomorrow I kinda wish it had some stab resistance on the panels but sadly not. But it’s worth the money. Need it for my job as a Seasonal Park Ranger so I’m looking forward to wearing Safe Life Defense.

is this the Hyperline Level IIIA & HG2 ?
@foreverraining15223 жыл бұрын
I got made wearing the SLD IIIA+ vest at a protest. Now I'm thinking about getting the Miguel Caballero tank-top vest. I need something more discreet. Safelife defense is not very concealable under normal clothing.
@timkc16382 жыл бұрын
No their product is not very concealable at all. It’s overpriced as well imo. I stick with atomic defense and love their product. Good service, well priced, American made and privately owned.

does this vest come with plates or do you need to get them separately?
@jessesfuntimes71873 жыл бұрын
You have to buy them separately. The vest comes with the front and back ballistic panels and the carrier itself.

My shirt size is a large, and I bought a large vest. Going back today to the website, they added a height/weight thing for their size chart, which also recommended a large.

lol "big fat LARPer" I'm kinda fat and wanted to see how well this armor fits... Thx for this video, I have IIIa soft panels and want to get a carrier... Now I will be ordering from Safelife. I already have a tactical carrier, I just want concealed so I can go places (Zoo, Sea World, my kids school etc.) and be covered all the time.

These guys showing themselves with the armor they're not putting it on and showing how difficult it is trying to get it adjusted and you didn't show putting the plate in. I'm sitting here looking at the same vest and getting ready to record myself fighting it to get it adjusted properly.

Boycot Safelife defense. They do not own up to mistakes. Manager just repeats what his script tells him to say. I had a poor fit and they strung me along until I could not return it. I even have emails from them . After looking at my photos showing them that there recommended size is too big. They still wouldn’t replace it.
@supernovahk192 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the info. I was about to give them $600 for a concealable enchanted multi-threat Liii and was worry about the returning/exchanging due to size misfit. The website mentioned of 30 day window for size exchange, I wonder why they failed to honor it? It’s always good to hear from the consumer.

Yeah I even have emails from one of the representatives commenting on my picture saying that “it clearly looks too big.
