Just called my pharmasist about something I saw in this video. In the video, person is prefilling the needles to be used later. Pharmacist I talked to said this is not ok because when it leaves the vile, there's risk of exposure to air and can cause problems if you leave the needle out.

I work in a clinic that gives Semaglutide injections. We were taught to inject below the navel to avoid nausea. And not prefill your syringes. Also to change the needle after filling, filling will dull the needle and it will hurt slightly more.

just from watching other videos, i think a step was missed. I think you are suppose to pull the needle with the amount of dosage first before putting in the vile. Then inject the air in the vile, then pull the medicine. This gives the vile the air pressure it will lose.

Does it hurt? I’ve watch videos and nobody make faces or feel nervous or doubt about it! They just go straight and pinch!

I just did it. The needle is so tiny just feels like a pinch or almost like when you haven’t worn earrings in a while

I just did my first one last night. Didn’t hurt. But I think the liquid leak out a bit. My doctors office told me to count to 10 before removing the needle so I did but I think it’s still happened. I just wiped it off and wash my hands. That’s why I’m watching these videos now to see what I did wrong. Good luck hope it’s going well for you.

I heard if you inject in your thigh you can potentially become nauseous but if in another area like your leg, you can avoid that. Is that something you have heard?

What do you do when your hands are shaking?? I just did my first injection and was so nervous my hands were shaking the whole time. I got it done but the shakey made it harder. Hopefully it gets easier each week, I've never done home injections before except when taking my blood sugar but that was a button so it was easy.

If semaglutide has to be kept refrigerated, then how does one travel with it?

Mine come in 4 syringes, prepped and I freeze them, take one out 30 mins before I inject. I use my thigh so I don't get too sick by injecting in the stomach. That was the suggestion my pharmacist told me

When I’m injecting myself, is there a reason why is burns, when the medication is going through?
@Sheree23427 ай бұрын
I was told that if it’s cold (straight out of the fridge) it burns. If you let it get a little room temperature it doesn’t burn. I take mine out before I take my shower and inject after and it takes the stinging out when injected.
@aliolivi6 ай бұрын
Make sure it's room temp and make sure to wait 15 seconds for alcohol to dry, otherwise it will sting

I believe 10 units- the amount she injected.
@tauschajohanson2611 ай бұрын
That honestly depends on the concentration of the semaglutide in your vial and that depends on which pharmacy compounded it. But the "usual" starting dose of 10units should contain 0.25mg of semaglutide.

I think you should correct this otherwise helpful video: My Dr and pharmacist told me to fill up one syringe per week. I don’t think it’s a good idea to fill up and freeze anything. Just take the bottle of drug, wipe the top, and fill a syringe, then return it to the fridge for the next week’s dose and repeat. Only one injection per needle, then toss. Repeated use of a hypodermic needle is how people get infections.
