Thank you for your videos. My pharmacist was unwilling to give me any information on using ozempic. Didn't even bother to mention it needs to be refrigerated (thankfully, I remembered having to refrigerate Grandfather's insulin back in the day). If I may, I'd like impart a little tip for finding injection sites on the thigh. This information came courtesy of Allergy and Anaphylaxis Australia, when teaching me how to self administer my epinephrine auto-injector (epi-pen). If you stand normally, with your arms by your side, in a natural posture, hold your hand in a fist - as if you're going to hit it against your leg - the point at which your pinky finger touches your thigh... THAT'S your best injection site. If you don't want to inject the exact same spot each time, simply give yourself an area of an inch or two above and below that point (or alternate which thigh you use).

It needs to be refrigerated at the pharmacy, but once it's been given to you, you can keep it at room temperature for eight weeks.

I have been three months on Ozempic and dosing 1.0 and in the belly. The effect had been waning, so I did the back of my arm 4 days ago and buddy that kicked it in the butt. I had constipation for the first few days, but I upped the water intake and increased my magnesium. I'm back to indifference to food and my blood sugar is staying at an average of 101 for the past 7 days.

I really hope the thigh injection will reduce my symptoms. I am starting back on the 2 mg and until now I have been doing the injections in my abdomen only. And when I was in 2 mg before, I had the worst vomiting and diarrhea ever. The pressure was enormous and I felt I was dying.

In my experience, I had no symptoms when injecting in my arm or thigh. I tend to not use my stomach as an injection site due to the symptoms.

I injected it in my thighs and arm for 4 weeks and thought the effect was subsiding and that I need to up my dose. Three days ago I injected it in my belly (still 0.25) and it's hitting so hard, I can't really eat for two days now. 😳

I'm on week 5 (Thursday will be #5). I've only injected in my stomach on the right 3x and once on the left side. I'm going to try my upper thigh this week due to quite a bit of nausea, and vomiting . I'm hopeful changing the sight might make a difference. I hope that you're doing better. I'm still only on .25 and am nervous about titrating up but also eager to see more success. Wishing you the best. Ask your doctor if they can prescribe you Zofran ( the desolvable tabs) they work fast and taste sweet so it won't add to the nausea.

So I’ve been injecting in my stomach for quite sometime and I have noticed it’s def not working like it used to- I’m not gaining or losing weight anymore - if I move to my arm or thigh my guess is I will see even less result since I’d be moving to a slow area? True or ?

Hi just tried my first dose, but I didn’t feel the injection going in and there was a drop of liquid on my skin, when i pulled out. Is this normal or did I miss it. I had expected to feel the needle. Not sure what to do?

Great questions. You don’t always feel the needle going in. There can sometimes be a drop of liquid on the skin but you still received the dose of medication. You are good to go until your next injection! 😊

Ok didn't know you had to squeeze a chunk lol I've been just straight injecting into stomach..each week I switch sides around my belly button .. Could this be why I've stopped loosing weight?? I'm actually on it for type 2..but lost 12 lbs in 7.weeks but now 0.. And my appetite and sugar cravings are back !!!!🙄☹️

It never hurts to switch some things up to see if it makes a difference! I have had many patients start to lose weight again after switching their injection sites. I don't have any scientific data to back this up - just good ole patient feedback. 🙂

Sometimes the needle isn’t in far enough and sometimes it is simply the amount of medication being injected.

Thanks for the video. I had bruising today injecting in my abdomen. Is this because I it a blood vessel or pushed too hard on the pen? I made sure the needle was in straight and not at an angle. I alternate my injection site every week amd this is the first time I have had any bruising. I have very little fat on my thigh and noticed a little bleeding on my third injection, so i switched to my stomach. I have had no side effects yet. Fingers crossed!

It isn’t known to impact blood pressure but I would speak with your provider on if it has interactions with your specific blood pressure medications!

You may simply have to get a higher dose. There is nothing wrong with your body not benefiting from the starter dose. We are all not made the same and your body is not affected. Up your dose until it works. Keep us posted.

I think as long as you get it into the fat your good. I don't have any fat on the outside of my thigh so I cant do that spot. I have plenty of fat on my inner thigh and my belly. I did the first arm injection 4 days ago and it worked great.

If some injection sites are not absorbing as well or having as great of affect then can you only use the belly area to inject and just alternate that area only every other week? Is there a problem with doing this? Thanks!

I’m extremely concerned because of all the people talking about the paralyzed stomach’s that have been in the recent media and news. Also, it should be noted that I switched the injection site from my stomach to my thigh as I didn’t know that this was an option until I saw your video. Now I have a large lump on my thigh and it has turned red. Should I be concerned?
