Doc P I absolutely love your calm teaching technique. I see some great idea's in all of your thoughts and methods. As a Dental Practitioner (DDS) aspiration is critical but aspiration is Micro ml not ml's so you are absolutely correct and as you said arterial blood much brighter (more vivid red) then venus blood (darker more blue) certain needles and syringes are more beneficial for aspiration as well. I appreciate your valuable information Thank you!

Thank you for posting this, very helpful. Please can you explain what to do if there is a flashback - how much of a flashback is worrying? What to do if if an artery is hit? Can we continue with the procedure or not and why can some fillers not be aspirated? If the filler is thick there's still a negative pressure in the needle so wouldn't any flashback be visible in the hub? Thank you!

Is it safer to use a insulin needle to inject in the lips?
@jmarie88283 жыл бұрын
Please stop asking crazy questions! If you had the slightest idea or knowledge of what you were doing you would not ask these crazy questions. The Dr. is obviously not going to answer you on this, no one wants to risk their license by giving advice on “how to DIY” to someone who has no medical training, does not understand anatomy but is crazy enough to just grab a syringe, or a cannula and have a go at it! I beg you to save up the $ and let a professional handle your filler!!! Not only is it dangerous but even if you don’t cause a vascular occlusion or necrosis you will NOT get the professional desired look or symmetry you desire. This is a skill that needs to be honed (sharpened) through proper education and experience. Trying to save a buck by ultimately spending thousands later to correct makes no sense at all and the damage can be irrevocable.

Nice video, what bothers me is lack of knowledge of possibility of intra vascular injection vs angle of injection, what seems "dangerous angle" to you is actually safer than what angle you think is safe to inject: being an anesthesiologist, dealing with intravascular catheter placement, it's obvious that if you go perpendicular to the vessel you'll have a higher chance of getting g into the vessel than going parallel to the vessel (this how novice people try to get an ABG). #real_dr_k
@DrTimPearce2 жыл бұрын
Thought-provoking points- though abg is different to cannulating a vessel- I have never seen someone cannulate a vessel from 90 degrees.
