Awww when I was a kid we rescued an owl here in Oregon when we were driving down from the mountains. It was a male so no chicks would starve. We took him to the local avian rescue and he was rehabilitated and they let him go in the avian sanctuary owned by the Audubon society. He lived a good life. My mom used to let me and my brother call the sanctuary to check on him. Eventually he found a home elsewhere. He had been GPS tagged but when he flew out of range they couldn't track his flight path so after that there weren't any more updates. Hopefully he flew away and found a family and lived a full life

Thank you for helping this little guy, how did you see him sitting there and knowing he needed your help? God gave you good instincts. Thank you!
@DavidMiller-fy4ph2 жыл бұрын
I will answer your question here Jayne... We as humans have a built in ability, unlike any living species on the planet. This ability is called intuition, a self observing analysis of any situation we face on a every day basis.. it depends upon how aware we become with our surroundings, by what is normal and what is not normal. Wild birds don't hang around the side of a road for any length of time, and this is not a normal thing to see. Now if the owl was feeding there after a live kill, that would not be a normal occurrence. Birds generally take their kill some place else, away from other predators to eat, and of course to feed their young.. So seeing any animal on the side of the roads anywhere, is a bad sign of trouble for them. Remember wild animals have a built in instinct to fear humans, I say this in general, because man does have the ability to alter that wild instinct in animal's. Eagle's are high cliff dwellers, that generally dwell away from humans, although now days you will see them flying over towns and cities like in Colorado, etc. So if I saw one standing on a city sidewalk not doing to much, I would be thinking there would be something wrong with the bird...if I was able to even get 9 yards from it, then there are issues, because normally at that distance any raptor would fly off and way. Now if one could rescue a badger, that would be some true animal whispering.......... Plus animals for the most part don't hang around moving cars and semi trucks, but there are exceptions, like dear, buffalo, moose. I hope that was some general insight for you: The Jedi

I fully believe that God sends angels to walk among us. They may not look like angels, and they certainly don't act like angels, and they probably don't even know they ARE angels. But, when there is a need, they don't ask why. They don't àsk how. They just jump right on in and quietly fill the need. Then, they leave. They don't ask for pay. They don't even ask for thanks. Dip the strips in water with a blunted bamboo skewer to feed them along with with a plastic small eye dropper. They all 3 passed of old age. Yes they do have gorgeous eyes. Even the sound of your voice is comforting. You are an amazing person. And that little baby in your arms loves you so much.

Man this poor little guy was probably on his way out. He was so done that he accepted help from humans. He didn't even care anymore; no fussing, no fighting not even once. He just let go and let God I guess one could say, and then the sweetest woman on the planet perhaps, took him home and took great care of him. It even looks like they bonded a bit. How sweet

Thank you for stepping up and helping this little guy. I 'm so glad there are still people like this woman.As an animal softie,I would rather help an animal than I would most people. (The animal will appreciate it).God Bless all of his creature's

No, he was injured, probably hit by a car, and was stuck there.
@Heather_Morgan2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, he was most likely hit by a car. Poor baby. It was probably stunned or in shock.

Ma’am thank you for stopping to aid this baby, this creature can sense she meant well or it would have tried to bite !
@LisaCSCO2 жыл бұрын
Bite? It's those talons I would have worried about. Shred you up like beef for a burrito.
@irenemarano82412 жыл бұрын
Maybe or it didn't have any energy at all .
@debbiesuazo-duckworth46142 жыл бұрын
If his beak wasn't hurt he probably would have bitten her. No sense involved in an injured animal unless they are in shock.
@michaelvenezia96732 жыл бұрын
she prob. snapped the little leg before filming so as not to let it get away to quick? ..........maybe
@ericnvee2 жыл бұрын
@@michaelvenezia9673 why would you think that? She gave no indication that she was malicious. Plus a wild animal wouldn’t trust someone who snapped it’s leg, everyone knows that….maybe

The owl made a full recovery (source; News and the original woman and her ranch) " theepochtimes" search for article named "couple-spot-injured-owl-hit-by-car-on-roadside-so-they-rescue-him-and-thankful-owl-remembers-returns" and "banditaranch" is the woman's website Please share this to other comments

Awww, he seems to be quite happy to get help and be snuggled up. My bird has alway hated the towel but is fine with it after a minute because she knows it's to help her. I'm glad you stopped for him and took care of him till he could go back into the wild. Much love and respect! ❤
