Thank you❤ for helping this baby. I stopped for something small being attacked in the middle of our road...it was an injured baby screech owl, our game warden said it's common for crows to kill the babies and we have no one to take it but you can try to save it just make sure you don't keep it as a pet. I did my best and one night while he was practicing his flying he went to one of our big trees out back then for several years he would visit and sit on the rail he left from make a couple tiny screeches then leave. ❤

This is a lifelong commitment. It’s one of the meaningful and enriching experiences anyone can have , raising and earning the trust of an orphaned baby animal, but it is hard. And time consuming and often very expensive to keep them safe and give them proper nutrition. As beautiful as this is I hope the people watching it know you can’t just let an animal go in the wild after it reaches full growth, you are responsible for it. Owls bond to humans that raise them like they would a life mate and they need you to take of them for their whole life, and when they do eventually die from old age it’s like losing a child. The same goes for any wild being.

0:33 Owls are not really able to move their eyes in their sockets, so they have to move their entire heads in a somewhat exaggerated manner to change their field of vision. This bobbing and head-swaying motion is called motion parallax, and it owls more accurately judge distances.

While owls are undeniably fascinating creatures, it's important to remember that they are wild animals with specialized needs. Keeping owls as pets can be harmful to their well-being and is often illegal due to conservation concerns.

@@CuddleBuddiesChannel Agreed. The channel I viewed made it clear that their owl seemed to adopt him (i.e., he allowed the owl to come in and out of his house as the owl wanted to, which he did.) He comes home from work and the owl is waiting for him on his outside patio. However, as you say, owls are not really meant to be "pets" in the colloquial sense.

When you took it out of its natural habitat, the owl cannot develop naturally. So what of it? If not for you, the owl would be dead and wouldn’t have developed at all. Nobody knows what’s best for that particular owl under these circumstances so your instincts are as just good as anybody else’s. You and the owl are guided by love and you two seem to be doing just fine.

She needs to contact a falconer they will teach her how to give that owl hunting instructions, right now it has no clue of where actual food comes from other then her providing it and it will never survive on it's own
