@skipatrollife-southernutah78059 күн бұрын
@@snowcat09 My front pack? It is something I picked up from Amazon, I like it a lot. I added a radio pouch and a bigger side pouch for my little drone and camera gear. The bottom attachment is where I keep most of my medical equipment and the rest goes up top. I could find the actual brand name of it if you'd like. Mine was around $80-90 for the base part.

Hello! I am an EMT in SoCal and I have always wanted to do Ski Patrol, any advice for getting started? Does it need to be a full time job?
@skipatrollife-southernutah780511 күн бұрын
@@Storyteller543 I'd say you really just need to have your medical training up to date, be able to ski or snowboard well, and live near a ski resort. We also require our patrollers to be at least 18. Do you live fairly close to Big Bear or Summit?

Real Ski Patrollers Ski not board. You can't Ski cut, safely use a sled.
@skipatrollife-southernutah78059 күн бұрын
It varies a little bit for each resort, the first step would be to contact the resort you'd like to work at and see what their requirements are. Generally you'll need to ski or snowboard well enough to ski every part of the mountain with a toboggan - you'll train with a toboggan so don't worry too much about that aspect. You'll need medical training, most of us are EMT's. Having a desire to be of service to people is an important trait. I really enjoy helping people, sometimes it's the worst day of their lives and you get to make it a little better. There are resources online that can steer you in the right direction as well. What resort do you live near?
