If I would have known about this video I wouldn't have made my concepts video. Well I suppose at least I figured out the combo paths that lead to these optimized combos without having seen or read about it.

I just started playing this game and have no experience with fighting games in general. Those combos look sick, I think I'll visit this video for reference many, many times. I just want to play Grodd very much. I think I'll try to do some of the less damaging ones, I can't see myself doing the best ones anytime soon.

All you actually need is back+2 into down/forward+1 - hold back. This is his entire gameplay - the mix from the cross up. Second cross up guaranteed a 50/50 - go low with back+1 or overhead with forward+3 and repeat.

thanks for the advice man. Now a more basic question - what is a cross up? From what I read on the web it's when you jump over the enemy so that he is attacked from the back (so if he held block in 1 direction he is actually not blocking anymore). Am I reading it right? Also, what do you mean by b2 -> d1/f1? does it connect to 112 or 22throw? So if I get it right the core Grodd gameplay is to jump in with an overhead (so, 1 or 2 because if I remember it right from training mode up 3 is a mid), then do a b2 which gives me a 50/50 from which I can do all kinds of stuff, right? I still have problems with just doing the input right, yesterday I spent like an hour learning b1 throw MB -> b3 part, it's hard enough for me to execute it right let alone think if I actually can do it without getting wrecked while trying.

His meta is back+2 (or Y or Triangle). 2 is a medium kick, that is mid and has good reach. It restands opponent, has great advantage on hit. From t´hat you can always mix with his special move down, forward+1, which is his jump in. You have to 2 for cross-up or 3 for knock down.

thanks, man, that's really useful. I guess I'll practice the df1 b 2 after the jump in -> b2, but it seems very hard on a beginner level. I just love Grodd animations and look way too much not to try though ;) So far the "best" I can do is b1 throw meter -> b3 -> up 3 -> 22 throw, which is about the level of complexity I can handle, I hope I can extend it with utilizing b2.

I don't know about you guys but I think every character should have a restand attack. but not a lunge setup. That would make things a little unbalanced. Spammers would have a field day. I know I would.

Hsi leap is a special move - down, forward+1. You have then 3 options - close (hold back), middle (do nothing) or far (hold forward). In the middle of the combo, you always want to leap close.

Doesn't really count if you are against darkseid though... some of these are 15% less than what is shown since darkseid has such low defense

Bow To Me I think they nerfed it to where you can only loop two or three B2 jumps. I have insane execution and I can't seem to do it at this time. But maybe I am wrong.

You can do that only from jump in 2. I also had some trouble at first, but you actually have to be slow. Wait a little and it connects fine.

I'm having trouble doing Salvation Run and Hyper Intelligence which look like very easy moves. Am I not timing something right? Forward 2 scoops opponent up not allowing second input. back 2 is a mid kick but the follow up buttons don't come out. not sure what I'm doing wrong here
