Injustice 3 - Build the Roster

Over the past two months rumors of a new Injustice game have been spreading like wild... only for us to learn that nothing is being announced, at least not yet. Well in that case who needs NetherRealm, we'll make it ourselves. Warning, we're about to get really nerdy on this one.

I actually think the Joker fight is a very good character moment for Harley. It doesn't add to the plot but characters are also a part of the story. Atrocitus just happens because he's cool I guess.

Super Move: John hits you over the head with a bottle of scotch, creates a pentagram circle around you, then binds you with magic chains. He then tosses a cigarette at you, lighting the circle on fire. Potential attacks: fireballs, lightning bolts, an enchanted dagger, a broken bottle, a lit cigarette, and maybe some help from a demon Trait: John can utter a spell for an effect depending on your situation. You can use it as a counter if you use it right before getting hit or heal if you're at low health, etc.

I personally would be liked to see Red Hood in there too and though he has been used quite a lot recently with Gotham Knights and all, a lot of his voice lines in Injustice 2 showed that he doesn't have a side, he hates Batman for obvious reasons like he continues to disagree with killing but he also hates Superman for killing too many innocents like Shazam, Green Arrow and Black Canary (for a while anyway) so I think it'd be a neat idea to include a neutral character; someone who is just fighting for his own survival during this 'Crisis'. Maybe a chapter with him could be about him just trying to kill The Batman Who Laughs seeing as he's basically his two least favourite people rolled into one

I agree. Ever since I watched Under the Red Hood he’s become one of my favorite members of the Bat Family. Objectively saying he’s one of the worst Robins but standing on his own, he is a 100% badass and I really loved the dialogue exchanges between him Damian and Bruce in Injustice 2 and would LOVE to see him return!

He could easily just be one of the Robin skins, with his unique ability being related to his guns. Actually, all the Robin skins could be one Robin, one skin for Damian, one for Tim, one for Jason (Red Hood), and one for Dick (the Nightwing from the heroic universe).

Red hood should be a main roster character if only because I want to fight Damien as him in story mode. I can see the scene now Near end of game (I would say second to last before batman) batman and Superman are about to fight as sides are being taken. Red hood fires a random shot into the air, getting everyone's attention go's on a long tangent about joker seemingly agreeing with Superman then droppes a line like "but dictatorship is where I draw the line" Then fires his gun next to Supermans eardrum to disoriente him then gets tackled away by Damien there interaction would then go's as follows "Damien: what are you doing Jason I thought you'd be happy to see scumbags like joker get what's coming to them" Red hood(Jason tod): "THERE IS A LINE DAMIEN...... Superman shattered it long ago"

Correct. In the comics, dinah is fatally wounded by superman (after he had killed green arrow), but dr fate teleports her to a universe with a retired green arrow who had lost his dinah. Then, when it came time to rebuild, dr fate brought dinah, oliver and their son back into the injustice universe to assist batman.

John Constantine needs to be on the roster for this as us DC fans have been begging for him to be in the games since the 1st Injustice game. And as for a guest character Eric Draven aka The Crow seriously he'd work well in this game as his move-set would be a good one especially with the limitless potential for a Super Move. And just think of the great possibilities for pre-fight dialogue interactions.

@@danielsniff6405 Exactly and if we're having a extra dimensional powerhouse magician like Eclipso for the villains then we need John Constantine to represent the powerhouse magician for the heroes especially since he's usually ranked as the most powerful, or 2nd most powerful magic user in the DC Multiverse and is one of the smartest anti-heroes in the DC Multiverse I mean he conned the likes of The Presence, The Spector, and Lucifer and got away with it, and it's confirmed in the canon of the DC Multiverse that Batman himself has stated that John Constantine is one of the only few individuals who equal him and in cases is his superior when it comes to intellect. So story wise with Fate's death I can easily seeing John along with Zatanna serving as the heroes' big guns when it comes to magical defense, and magical offense, and due to his high intelligence work with Mr. Terrific as one of the top strategists for the Multiversal alliance of heroes, heroines, anti-heroes, and anti-heroines plus how awesome it would be in the story to see John play Eclipso like a fiddle like he has done numerous times in the comics. And moveset could be essentially be a fusion of Dr. Fate's moveset from Injustice 2 with the powerful magic projectiles, and Mister Miracle's moveset by laying down various invisible magical sigils on the ground to serve as traps, and utilizing the convexity wave aka his ownership of fate for reflecting projectiles, and dodging melee attacks and his super could be him throwing out a invisible magic sigil which lasts for a few minutes before disappearing but if triggered will entrap the opponent and then John suddenly appears behind the opponent and stabs them from behind with a sword, and then after using the convexity wave to get in front of the opponent he casts the fire spell he used to defeat Dr. Destiny during the climax of the animated JL: Dark movie then in a little nod to Lobo's super from the first game that's still in line with John's character he takes a cigarette and uses the opponent's burning body to light the cigarette, and then says in that usual tone of his "Not looking to good there mate", and then starts smoking the cigarette.

If this is a multiversal crisis, then he can't keep his daughter (I think she was his daughter...?) safe as he wanted to do when he left. He is basically forced to come back since there would be both a bit of blame on him (at least from his own point of view mixed in with the frustration of "I leave you for a while, and you f*ck sh*t up THIS bad?!") and a motivation which would be the same that made him escape from said universe anyway: keeping his daughter and himself safe. ...so yeah, there would be a motive for him to come back, and Dr Fate being dead, I honestly would have gone for John over Z...both would be fine as well, since probably the presentation and use of their magic is quite different

I would LOVE to see Killer croc in injustice 3 and i think it whould make sense. Here's a concept I think would be very interesting. Rather than phone in evil Superman again, why not have Conner Kent as the replacement for Superman? I mean, in the tie-in comics they have him become A version of Superman, attempting to restore hope to the mantle. And I personally think that would make for a very interesting concept to explore in-game, so much to the point that you could almost dedicate a good chunk of the game's plot to that alone. You could have him work with Batman and even Supergirl to restore faith in the name of Superman after Clark's regime, and attempting to live up to the mantle with such a burden on his shoulders. I think that would be perfect, rather than find yet another half-baked reason to use evil Supes.

Actually, It's closer to the Injustice Lords story line from the old Justice League cartoon. Lex Luthor kills the Flash and Superman takes over the world to make sure it never happens again while Batman tries to fight it.

I know I’m incredibly late but I have four crazy ideas for characters John Constantine has been gaining popularity so that cynical magic user would go great in the dark world of injustice, plus then we could have a keanu reeves skin If you’re looking for a minion for the anti monitor Psycho-Pirate would do well plus he’s already steeped in multiverse stuff Next literally anyone from doom patrol, they are the weird dc team so if something weird is happening they’d fit in naturally. Cliff might be to much of a bruiser so Larry or Crazy Jane could be great picks. And lastly, a Hanna Barbera character. If ya didn’t know dc did a few reboot comics a while back so might I suggest space ghost or even Snagglepuss as a wacky out there pick. Really no rhyme or reason for these specific characters, I’m just hoping for more outta left field characters if they ever do make injustice 3

Ok, hear me out. A Doom Patrol character, including a stage set on Danny the Street. The character would most likely be Robot Man, since he's the most consistent member of the team, but his moveset could include assists from other Doom Patrol members, like the Negative Spirit flying across the stage, or Elastigirl stomping on the opponent. Have his trait bring in Crazy Jane, with the actual effect of the trait being chosen by the player through move customization. For good measure, have the super move bring in some other members/allies of the Doom Patrol, like Flex Mentallo, Dorothy Spinner or Willoughby Kipling. Hell, there could even be some Doom Patrol inspired skins for other characters, like a Red Jack skin for the Batman who Laughs, a Mr. Nobody skin for Dr. Manhattan, a Candlemaker skin for the Anti-Monitor, or a Milkman Man skin for Superman.

How about some relatively new characters? You mentioned Jonathan Kent, but there are a few more that could be in this game as either alternate costumes or their own characters: Punchline, Joker's new sidekick. Since Joker's dead, this could either be a Punchline from Earth One (the universe without evil Superman), or someone from the Injustice universe who saw Joker as a martyr, and decided to carry on his legacy by becoming Punchline. She'd play similar to Joker, with a heavier focus on the Joker Venom. Maybe her special ability would be some kind of automatic counter that gasses your opponent when they get too close to you. Her super move would be kinda like Scarecrow's. She sprays you with the Joker Venom that was used to make Superman kill Lois, causing you to hallucinate Jokers all around you, laughing at you. Punchline then jumps out of the mist, kicks you to the ground and stabs you multiple times like a maniac. She would be less chaotic than Joker or Harley, since Punchline is more sane than both of them. Signal, Batman's newest sidekick. Unlike the Robins or Batgirl, he's a metahuman. His powers include light manipulation and darkness manipulation. I don't know how that would work in a fighting game (except for Zato-1 and Eddie), but I can think of how he'd fit in the story. Maybe in an attempt to fill the void left by Damien's betrayal, Bruce finds a new protégé, Duke Thomas. He could maybe even be the main character of the story mode, like how Supergirl was in Injustice 2. In the Superman ending, Duke teams up with Damien after joining the Regime, and in the Batman ending, Duke convinces Bruce to reconcile with his son. And also, just spitballing, but maybe there could be a skin that turns him into Nightwing. In the comics, after Dick dies in the dumbest way possible, he becomes Deadman. Maybe in the story, Dick briefly possesses Duke, allowing him to communicate with Bruce as well as help train Duke's combat skills. Killer Frost, from the DC Rebirth. Imma be honest, I think just she should be in Injustice so they can make a joke about Frost from Mortal Kombat. Also I just really like ice characters. She'd probably be an ally to Harley, since they were both members of the Suicide Squad.

For guest characters, I would like: Savage Dragon - Because he's a famous comicbook character outside of the DC Universe, and NetherRealm Studios has already used Hellboy, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Spawn, so he could logically be a good choice for their next pick. Invincible - Because, once again, he's a famous comicbook character outside of the DC Universe, he is my favorite superhero, he just recently got his own animated series on Amazon, so it would be good promotion, he's a superhero nerd, and he's met Batman (off panel). He-Man - Because he had a crossover with the Injustice Universe that happens after Superman's ending at the end of Injustice 2, where he takes over the Earth and Injustice 2 made references to the Injustice comics and he's also getting another animated series, so it would be good promotion. Ben 10 - Weird one and I'm not sure if they could do it even it they wanted too, but I would really like to see an older Ben (early to mid twenties) interact with the Injustice Universe because I grew up with him as a kid, he's a superhero that has traveled to alternate dimensions before, and my favorite fanfiction is a crossover between Ben 10 and Justice League Unlimited where Ben travels to the DCAU and joins the Justice League. This one's a bit more personal wish fulfillment, but it could be really awesome to see.
