i think the "ism" system originates in kof'96, which would have hit arcades around the same time as (non-gold) alpha 2 and lets the player choose whether to use the new game mechanics that basically would define kof from '96 on or the clunkier but at the time perhaps more-familiar mechanics from '94-'95 which, considering how closely we know the alpha team was watching snk and specifically kof, feels way too similar to the idea of letting characters optionally play like their sf2 variants to be random coincidence

Rose is a Romani from the port of Genoa. 🤪 Zafina is a new character from recent games. Menat is a new character from recent games. Rose is an old character who has existed forever. So yeah... Zafina and Menat fit together so well that it would be silly not to include them. 2) Bob is cocky, arrogant, confident and funny. Bob is fat, but acrobatic. He's acrofaticTM. He plays against stereotypes. And his rival has to be "generic MMA protagonist #2" (#1 being Abel)? Hell no! character ideas Had a similar thought of making a Cthulhu like final boss, though my idea was having them mess with time and space to bring back returning characters to explain why some are still around, though that works as well. - An alien that loses its physical form and decides to use a monster costume, being a homage to Giant Monster movies like Godzilla and Ultraman, with his full power being grown giant to crush his opponents. - A Wolf-woman that is close to nature, also skilled in combat but also be a rival to Jon Talbain with him being a Werewolf. - An Incubus that is created to battle Morrigan and take her mantle. He wields a Rapier Blade to fight his opponents with his scabbard being placed up front (cause you know), can see him being a suave Hispanic looking guy that swoons all the ladies. - A Grim Reaper that enjoys rapping and playing video games-wait a minute that’s a Vtuber from Hololive ( that could work as a crossover promotion), still a Reaper could work as a playable character, maybe she is after Lord Raptor since he’s always alluded her since she is a big fan of his but also wants his soul. - A Dinosaur fighter, though instead of going for the obvious routes like Raptors or T-Rex, maybe a Pteranodon or a Therizinosaurus for an out of left field choice, another choice would be just adding Hauzer from Red Earth to fill that spot, yeah he ain’t a Dinosaur technically but he can still work. - A Spider humanoid that also knows ninjutsu, was figuring out how to work with a Spider Fighter and felt nothing is scarier than a stealthy spider. For DLC characters: - Anita: Can see her being from a future where Donovan became evil and trained to use Holy magic and her abilities to prevent D from awakening. - Cecil: the little boy that Huitzil took care of that would survive the robot apocalypse but wants to save humanity, like a fusion of Kyle Reese and Ash Williams, depending on the ending, he can save the world or let the robots rise with him as their ruler. (Side note, for the reboot timeline, the robots are referred to as the Phobos droids while the one that takes care of Cecil would be named Huitzel) - Shadow: He can keep his ability to mimic other fighters but when he reaches his super, he can break out and fight with his own unique moveset. - Amingo: I think he deserves a comeback and he’s got a lot of personality. - Firebrand: a crossover idea since they don’t have a Gargoyle-like rep and Firebrand can work to represent his games. - Scion from Red Earth: For a weird but interesting pick, to add some stakes to this, having a dark sorcerer like enemy that controls dragons but also would want to make a new world, one can say he had a hand in changing the timeline and being someone who brought in the Cthulhu boss

I will never understand Capcom taking years to refine and make the best of the best versions of these games... and then when demand starts to go back up and people want the best port released, Capcom's like "you want the Vanilla version right?" NO DAMMIT. Gimme SFA2 Gold cause I only give an F about the version with Cammy, and gimme SFA3 Max because it has EVERYTHING. Capcom makes great games but their executives constantly drop the ball when it comes to what the fans want. That being said, we did get MVC Collection and the 2nd collection is next, so they are improving.
