Superman moves faster than light, and can even travel back in time. He can move planets and survive Super Novas. He has defeated countless gods and multi-verse level threats. You probably read that here on KZbin from another commenter who had know idea what he/she was talking about too. Batman has never taken down the entire Justice League, and his "contingency plans" would be incapable of taking them down for long on their own anyway. They were only meant to temporarily disable a single member long enough for Batman to call the others in for backup. Ra's Al Ghul was the one who stepped in and altered them to make the plans lethal, and those still failed.

The effect of giving humans cancer was in one issue, and it's non cannon. Kryptonite works by "[interfering] with the semi-photosynthetic process, driving the energy out of [his] cells in a painful fashion." So it's really dependent on how much solar radiation he's absorbed; the more, the more painful it is.

No - rooms aren't lead lined; most of the energy he absorbs can get through walls. And you're still getting solar radiation at night. Remember, it's not photosynthesis, in which case the plant absorbs the heat. He's absorbing energy from the radiation.

I think you need to read it. Batman's contingency plans weren't intended to kill, they were meant to temporarily incapacitate them. Ra's al Ghul just altered them to be lethal and they still didn't work as properly. Batman didn't even carry it out. By the way, It's called "tower Of Babel". Doom was the name of the animated movie.

That came from The story "Tower Of Babel". In it, a villain named Ra's Al Ghul stole batman's contingency plans to take down the other leaguers if need be. People use this to prove that Batman can take on other super powered Beings including superman with Prep time. What they forget to mention is that Ra's Al Ghul has more resources and had said that his resources are more superior to Batman's and Batman wouldn't be as successful when carrying them out.

The pill doesn't physically make you stronger (you can't lift cars, or topple buildings while under it's effects), it only makes you more physically durable, so that when you punch someone as invulnerable and as dense as Superman, or Doomsday, your hand doesn't turn into ash.

Even though you didn't ask me: A newton = kg * m / s^2 1 × 10^9 kg × 3 × 10^8 m / s = 3 × 10^17 N. (At that speed, acceleration is negligible and speed is enough to calculate). 3 × 10^17 N = 3 × 10^14 megatons in metric. Nothing compared to ten octillion (10^49), but they were using actual physics for Flash and they just made up a number for Superman.

As I said, F=MA is a general formula used for the average force of an object. Pressure can be measured, but force can only be measured as an average of the entire body. So it's simplified as an even application of the same amount of force for every square inch, where you get into pressure. So what I was saying was that you could technically say that I'm exerting 10 octillion megatons of force on a square femtometre of a cell, and 0 on the rest of my thumb. Again, F=MA gives an average.

Alright, where do I begin? 1.Back in the 1940's, Superman was pretty dark and actually went as far as to kill criminals but this had to be changed due to the comic laws implemented at the time. 2.Batman and Wolverine wear their underwear on the outside, your point? 3. Magic can be compared to kryptonite in this case. He's not weak to it just Vulnerable. Just like Kryptonite he built a high resistance to it over the years. In a crossover called "War of the Gods" Superman deflected and resisted a magical bolt which was meant to destroy the Greek islands. John Byrne has even stated that the the reason why it affects him is because he wasn't familiar with it in the first place and and this resistance is dependent on his psionic abilities.

It's impossible to convert to megatons, since they are fundamentally different units. Megatons is a unit of force, while density is mass per unit area. The flash actually has no limit to how much force he can exert, since he has no limit on acceleration. Technically, flash is the strongest member of the JLA.

I've seen all of the animated DC movies. The only reason Superman was hit with the bullet was because he was dazed by the Kryptonite from Metallo's chest. Otherwise, if it's a bullet coming from Batman, he'll just dodge it before it exits the chamber.

Magic affects superman the same way it would affect a regular person. If it's a magical energy blast it will be as effective as a regular Energy blast. If it's a spell like mind control or a "non-lethal" type spell than it will work. Zatanna has taught superman in the arts of magic and how it works. He knows how to prepare for it and what to expect. And has even utilized that knowledge to his advantage. It takes a while for Superman's power level to fade away and would still retain it.

No, it doesn't. A regular energy blast has most of its power blocked by Superman's bioelectric field. His bioelectric force field is over 90% of his defense, and is why he is so "invulnerable". But magic is not blocked by the bioelectric force field. It hurts Kryptonians a much more than a regular energy blast. Again, he did that after charging for days. In two issues (that I remember), when he was transported out of yellow sun rays unexpectedly, he instantly lost his powers.

Weak means "less strong" - his defense against magic is less strong compared to his defense against normal attacks. So I consider him weak to it. It's not about building resistance. Simply, his bioelectric field can't stop it. If you look at the "After John Byrne" section of the "Powers and abilities of Superman" wikipedia page, you can see that they've established this as a fact.

And worst part is that they take very vague detall without the context. Batman BEATED Superman in TDKR and 'Hush', but Superman held back and he just hurt him enough to get a point (and lost far more than Superman did) The taking down of Justice League was done by Ras ', proposed by Superman, failed and Superman pointed out the plans were botched (because he didn't plan to stop himself). And in any other comic, Superman WON. Batman himself states he couldn't defeat Superman if he went all out.

Ironically, the one who had the idea for the plans was Superman himself, the plans turned out to be hijacked by Ras' As Ghul, who is smarter than Batman, and canonically edited them to make them more effective, And Superman pointed out that Batman had screwed the plans up by not making contengy plans upon HIMSELF going on rampage. Lastly, in a later storyline, Superman was mind controlled and Batman was sent into a coma. Not to say, Superman outwitted Brainac and Luthor several times

Actually, one of Superman's "powers" is increased mental capacity, more an effect of his Kryptonian physiology than Earth's yellow sun. He has superhuman intelligence and Eidactic memory. Some writers, especially in the 70's, have written him to be the smartest person on Earth. During the Legion of Super Heroes storylines, as Superboy even, Superman read and memorized an electronic database of every known event that ever happened on Earth.

The Superman in The Dark Knight Returns is an alternate version of Superman. He fought Batman after Superman got weakened by a nuclear explosion. And Superman was trying to reason with him so it's possible that he was holding back. Looking at it, it appears that that version of Superman was a LOT weaker than the superman we have seen in The Canon continuity. That Story is non-canon and you shouldn't use it as evidence.

He's not currently nerfed, because he could just continuously inhale the surrounding oxygen around Batman to asphyxiate him. When batman is trapped in time Dick learns that the Batcave is protected by magic to prevent people from teleporting into it. Batman employs magic like any other tech with rules and parameters. Yeah - I ran out of characters, and I'm tired of people who propose that. Last time Superman used the Kryptonite suit, he was severely weakened - enough to not dodge Joker's acid with his speed. Joker managed to get acid on the suit, throw Kryptonite at him, and left Superman for dead. Batman had to save him. And yet, after that, people still propose the Kryptonite suit idea. It made me quite angry when he did.

Adventures of Superman #642- Batman almost gets murdered by Superman when Superman was having an illusion where he saw Darkseid killing Lois and nearly kills Batman until Wonder Woman Intervenes. Superman/Batman #33- Batman gains super powers through an alien life form called the "Black Rock" and Superman defeated him which led the alien to flee. Superman/batman #23- Batman was possessed and literally glowing with kryptonite and lost to Superman.

Writers, of course, want to move beyond old villains when the fans get tired. The fact that Kal El has such a strange abundance of villains is a testament to the fact that no one likes him. Batman still has most of his old villains because they were GOOD, fun and interesting. Batman has taken on most of Kal El's villains and won. Kal El has never died. Don't be silly. It was a "healing trance" - no comic book character can ever die as a basic comic book rule.

I watched it the day it came out (both parts). And I loved it! Batman needed the assistance of Robin, and Green Arrow in-order to beat Superman. He lost miserably while wearing the suit and needed Arrow to (of fucking course) use crushed Kryptonite to win. If Batman were to ever defeat Superman... it's with the involvement of either Kryptonite, or Red sunlight.... and maybe magic. No one can say, "Oh he's just a human". That's the fucking point. He's not on Superman's level.

Even with his kryptonite ring (which is terrible writing btw) Batman landed a few shots on Superman until his hand literally broke. What most people don't seem to realize is that kryptonite isn't a be all end all weakness to Superman. It's strength varies, but for the most part it typically makes Superman feel sick or unwell. It also has the effect of giving humans cancer.

Why do people argue? Superman is the obvious winner, the feats he's achieved, the power he has demonstrated, he would obviously win in a fight. Some reasons: -Batman has never directly Superman in canon -Kryptonite simply weakens Supes -Infinte mass punch -Superman is way smarter than Batman -Superman has gadgets aswell as Batman -In Injustice, Superman is super angry because of events -He also knows several martial arts -Superman probably already has plans to defeat bats -and many more

It's a video game. I mean if it was portrayed as in the comics then the only person on the roster who could even have a realistic shot at beating superman would be doomsday. Although to the game's credit they do give a very good reason why batman is able to keep up with superman.

In continuity, He has only come close to beating Superman twice, both times with aid of kryptonite or other heroes. If you are referencing the movies, then I remind you that superman is always holding back. And in the case where he fought him when he was brainwashed by poison ivy, the battle that ensued nearly killed Batman. Superman can patch holes in reality, deliver punches stronger than 10 nuclear bombs, and can move a planet by SITTING IN THE SUN for 15 minutes.

I was not claiming that Batman could never defeat Superman. I was informing the previous user of different instances in which Superman beat Batman. He/she did not specify on the conditions of the fight, just simply, "Superman never beat Batman." I would rebute the Batman with Prep time argument but the character limit is preventing me from doing so.
