I love Solomon Grundy's grapple attacks especially that piledriver move he did at 2:18-2:28 and his super-move was beast but that brick wall move that Green Lantern did to Solomon Grundy was too f*cking sick! You can see it at 1:08-1:11. Does anyone else agree?

Cyrus Gold is Solomon Grundy's real name. The birth date is a reference to his debut in All American Comics where he fought Green Lantern (Alan Scott) in the year of 1944. The death date is his actual date of death in continuity with the story itself. He died as Cyrus Gold on 1895 and became Grundy. His death day is also like his birthday as well if you look it it like that.

That's what made Grundy such a great foil for Alan Scott: the ring couldn't affect him directly. Always nice when a villain forces a hero to get creative.

That's John Stewart, he was in the Justice League show. The guy you see here, Hal Jordan, is the main lantern in the comic books, which is why he's in in the game.

Man I love how Netherrealm made every move and hit so brutal in this game. Green Lantern's special looked so overblown with the buses and the crashing fighters.

They needed a grappler character for the variety of the fighting types I guess. And Grundy's moveset is really unique in that way compared to the other characters had presented so far. He looks interesting to play with.

in my opinion i think it would be cool if solomon grundy's super move would be when he says the whole nursery rhyme while just doing various grappling moves until he's done with the rhyme. It would be cool to finish someone off like that :D

Aside from some exceptions due to TV writing or a few comics, Kryptonite is more dangerous to Superman than you're describing. For one, the effects are pretty much immediate and he can go from being capable and healthy to nearly fainting on the ground. With kryptonite, you can also pierce Superman's flesh, which is usually almost impossible unless the opponent uses magic or is on the power level of someone like Darkseid or Doomsday. Even just the exposure to the radiation can kill him.

They are only announcing ONE character tomorrow, so the last four will be four of the following... Superman, Deathstroke, Green Arrow, Catwoman, Nightwing, or the character announced on Monday.

The last two fights are probably going to be Green Arrow vs Deathstroke and Nightwing vs Catwoman going off revealed characters. I'm sure there are more characters they haven't announced yet, so maybe a new character will fight Superman instead of the Nightwing/Catwoman brawl.

Anti-Air combo at 2:17 is WAY TOO SICK! I had absolutely no intentions of playing Grundy before, but my love of grapplers and his move set have convinced me. I may have found my main, how is it that a grappler with an armor combo-throw, an EX Root that is extremely fast and a dash that's super fast topped with an amazing and fast anti-air that leads to a full combo doesn't sound completely rigged? Gief is crying... not just cuz he failed to protect Russia's skies.

Next week is probably Nightwing vs. Catwoman and Green Arrow vs. Deathstroke. There's a line at the bottom of the brackets, meaning the winner of the tournament probably goes on to face the Big Bad, Superman.

I don't know I was fairly impressed, we saw a hammer, buses and jets in the finishing moves and it does look like they've included some pretty neat stuff like that brink wall move. You can't have him using ridiculous super moves with big ass constructs all the time

Actually, the weakness to yellow was due to parallax's infection of the main power battery on Oa. Since it's expulsion, only rookie lanterns have no control to yellow. Veterans like Hal, John, Guy, and Kyle can all affect yellow. Also, it's not a weakness, as much as they ring is ineffectual to it.

Yes, but Green Lantern is not one person. They are many. The Green Lantern who you're talking about and probably know from the animated series is John Stewart. In the comicbooks the main lantern is Hal Jordan, the guy you see here.

Well, according to Geoff Johns' Green Lantern: Rebirth, Parallax is the living embodiment of fear, represented by the color yellow in the emotional spectrum. He destroyed countless of civilizations and The Guardians imprisoned him in the central power battery. That's why the rings could not work against yellow. He was trapped there until he infected Hal and possessed him. After Hal got free and beat him, Parallax was not inside the battery anymore, so the rings had no problem against yellow.

Solomon Grundy died like in the 1800s and was reborn or something and when he came back he heard the nursery rhyme of Solomon Grundy and he just repeats it so people just call him that. It goes:Solomon Grundy born on a monday, Christened on Tuesday, Married on Wednesday, etc.

the game has some of the best graphics ever...and the game is coming out before the PS4 or Xbox 720 even comes out...they come out in the holiday season and Injsutice is coming out in the spring or summer

Understand that "yellow" doesn't make the actual Green Lantern weak, yellow items can't be affected directly by the green projections and enough Yellow Lantern source material will depower a GL ring. A number 2 pencil would be worth squat in defense against a GL who picks up a boulder and throws it at you.

Week 3 is the best. Both the fights were epic and yeah Green Lantern's creations are awesome indeed. Only what bothers me is GL got beaten up very badly and yeah SG also received some but I would recommend the health bar to be placed from the quarter finals.

I don't think they're going to reveal new characters next week. They're going to use Catwoman, Green Arrow, Deathstroke and Nightwing, the ones already revealed but that haven't fought on the Battle Arena yet.
