In the climatic final battle of the movie, I kept expecting Batman to just completely lose it and shoot Bane in the face with his grappling hook. Running him over with the Batmobile is a pretty good alternative.

Well to be fair, in the movie was pretty much the only time Bane was portrayed as a strategist and showed his intelligence outside the comics. Other adaptations while looking more like his comic counterpart, he was portrayed as dumb muscle and didn't seem that smart. Even in the Arkham games he was lacking his intelligence.(Yes even in Arkham City)
