That zombie Mermaid had such a cool touch to it. I bet it would´ve looked absolutely amazing if the artist would have had the time they need to pull it off nicely with the tail.

​@HAKIMEOVER9000 yes but I think thaisstone is saying you have to realize the context of the competition/ TV show. If you go to a shop and pay for a tattoo, the primary objective of both the artist and the customer is to get the best design/ tattoo possible. If you go on a TV show competition, you have to understand the artists ultimate goal is to win, and at that point your tattoo is a means to an end. You see?

i never understand why some canvases come in with these huge crazy ideas that cannot be done in 6 hours. i'd so much rather have a smaller solid tattoo than something huge and half assed

I gotta say that sphinx cat tattoo looked amazing that Roly did. I didn’t care for Roly but that was the only tattoo of his that I loved. I also gotta say as bad as Matt’s tattoo was in the different styles episode, in my opinion Lil D should’ve been sent home over him. It just looked like a side by side tattoo in the same style, not different styles.

I love this show but I would never go on it. A good quality tattoo takes time. And 6 hours plus the stress of a competition is a recipe for me possibly getting a really bad tattoo
