They can tell you what they can and can’t do, sure, but when they start throwing in and forcing their ideas, that’s a red flag for me. As a canvass I would force myself to take the pain in this situation and believe me I know it sucks especially over a number of hours. I trust my artist completely and they take the lead when it comes to design with a bit of feedback from me. For the sake of the show, I would let the artist do pretty much whatever because I would trust them.

Good on Josh for being vocal on his beliefs of facial tattoos. Say what you want about his drawing skills, it takes real balls to stand up for what you believe. Plus the dude's ability to copy something he has reference for is fucking INSANE. How sick would it be to show a tattoo artist something complex asking "Can you do this?", and then they give you EXACTLY like that reference? Shit, that's reliability to a T.

Imagine getting upset after someone asking you if the tattoo has meaning behind it. How is that an insulting question? If I had tattoos and someone asked me if they had meaning behind them, I’d be so excited to tell them.

James did not deserve that, his client was a broadway baby that grew up using daddy’s credit card. Her attitude towards him, towards his work and his art style is not what you should do especially to someone who is going to take hours out of their time to listen to you and put ink into your skin. If you’re looking for a simple design go to a tattoo shop and they can do it for like $4-500.
