Disclaimer: I am not Doc Brown (IANDB). Humidity may cause additional feathering, the effect of which would presumably be the opposite of what you are experiencing. (From experience, Moleskine in tropical Asia is doubly not nice). Only thing I can think of is that Asian pens tend to be finer - The Real Doc Brown discusses this in his video on choosing the nib width. Is it the same pens you are comparing?

I have a question. Living in a very humid region, Singapore, does the humidity affect the broadness of writing on paper? I find that the medium nib used here similar to or even finer than a fine writing I have done
