@@sarahrean7174 The challenges got more interesting(like all artists had to do a head tattoo or a rib tattoo), the Flash Challenge winner got to assign all the canvases, the finale included sending the final 3 artists home with a master canvas and given a set number of sessions to do a large piece (like a full back or a full sleeve) and then they were revealed (fully healed) at the live season finale and the winner was crowned. We also got to see and hear from the eliminated artists at the finale.

@@frankiefranklin9761 yes and no. A lot are on the leg, but its usually thigh or side of the calf where its flatter or easier to control the skin. Most that I've seen, and the better ones are forearm, back, chest, upper arm

Your tattoo is not saturated, the black is not solid, it has shaky linework. You’re going to the bottom, it doesn’t look like a sticker. It doesn’t knock it out of the park. You’re going home, your screwed for the rest of your life

When an artist is saying "it sucks" to be tattooing lines that is a huge problem. And if an artist told me he tattooed his birth time on my body I would have kicked him in the face right there!! He is one egotistical jerk!! I can't see anyone letting him tattoo them after seeing this show. Why argue the judges if they think your work sucks? If you can't take critic you will never grow as an artist.

Dave really grew into his role as the host in later seasons. All 3 of them as judges did. Would love to see them reunited again for a reboot of this show.

@@dawsondetrana5496 I don’t know, I’ve seen other videos where people come back in and complain about their tattoo. And they will try to fix it for “redemption”. So it makes me think not all will come back in and get fixed.

@@dawsondetrana5496 They do not fix bad or unfinished tattoos from the competition, except for special episodes where previous people come back to get 'redemption' for a bad tattoo they got on the show. I have heard of a case or two where an artist works with someone after the show, but the show itself doesn't arrange anything. The person gets the tattoo for free, and any issues with it are theirs to deal with afterward. So it's definitely a risk.

Am I the only one who wishes they got a bit more time? Art done the fastest and judged by who can rush artwork the best, kinda strange to me. Sometimes real talent is slower and more methodical.

Also the artist get a bit more control of the client. Like I get the point is to be a challenge, but the pin-up one that legit is a terrible placement and she tried helping to move it to better locations, and the guy said he would just leave. So either she gets a disadvantage the other artists dont have, or her client is allowed to leave and she doesn't get to do anything?

Dave said more than once that he’s while he’s not a tattoo artist himself, he’s been getting them for decades and is talking to the contestants from a client’s perspective. I think it’s definitely important to get input from that end as well.

I get that most artists have a style that they enjoy and excel in but it never ceases to amaze me(even in the new season 15) ppl come to compete w/o knowing how to do certain things and the judges still consistently say, "if you can do it all you can't be ink master" 🤷🏻‍♀️

Like, the canvas didn't want any specific hour for it, it's just a random time on a clock before the tattoo and after the tattoo lol. If he would care that much he would've asked for a specific time.
