it doesn't make any sense if you think about it, most of them are professional tattoo artists lol and have been for YEARS so if they hear "you'll be doing precision today" and for them to look shocked at all is ridiculous , only for the under the chin/skull type of tattoos does that actually make sense... and everyone bickering about getting bad skull picks and saying "I'm gunning for you" ... the entire cast is gunning for everyone else... there can only be 1 winner lol

All american series are cut like that. They were probably told "nod your heads for a minute and look at each other like someone is saying something to you". Then the judges came for 10 min to say their lines and it was edited like they were there the whole time. I literally trust nothing but the art, all the human interactions are fake and made for the show.

I’ve heard people complain that these challenges are dumb because they have nothing to do with tattooing… which is true, but they have everything to do with being an artist. And since it’s almost always the case that the best artist will make the best tattooist, it makes sense to have these various trials… plus, how awesome would it be to create art with all of these different mediums…to be able to showcase your understanding of shading, composition, value, colour theory, and perspective.

Idk if anyone has thought of this but I have two ideas for a new season. My first idea is bringing back all the previous ink masters and making them go at it. Maybe the title could be Ink Master: The Masters (idk just a thought). Another idea is getting like those guest judge tattoo artist that have been touted as amazing and put them in this competition.
