Seriously, some of these tips and tricks that I've been learning are going to make my life so much easier when I'm designing templates for my jewelry! I just about fell off the chair when I saw that little tree rendering! So many great tools to create all the natural, free flowing designs I want to make. Can't thank you enough for these videos! I'm feeling more confident with every lesson :)

I often look on KZbin, like many, to learn something new. I must say this is some of the best instructional videos I have come across. (On par if not better than sketch up square one- another software I am trying to master) you do an excellent job for the new person, covering the basics, showing examples, all in bite size videos! I plan on watching your other tutorials as well just to see if there is other software I should learn (I am using these for 3D printing and CNC). Excellent job!!!!

Thank you for all these tutorials. I went from a complete newbie to feeling very comfortable with Inkscape. I wish you would have shown in more detail about rendering charts. How exactly to import data from a spreadsheet and make a chart out of it.

You're welcome. That's a really good idea for a video, linking chart data from a spreadsheet. I haven't really done that before, but I'll bet there is a good tool or extension for it. I'll look into it!

I am on a MacBook Pro, Ventura 13.1. Several of the extensions do not work. Either nothing happens or I get a simple red square on my screen when I click on Apply. In addition to that, when I click on Extensions, Render and choose an option, instead of a small dialog box opening up, I get a whole new full size tab. If I click on anything in that tab while full size, I am taken out of that screen and back to my desktop with nothing happening. I have drag the tab out at which point I can choose options. Any suggestions from anyone would be most appreciated. This does not happen in just the Extensions tab but anytime I should get a dialog box.

Oh, where did my render-> Elements go? I saw the calendar in the past but now it has only grid. Did I need to install an extension for this?

I did just like you did in the video but i cant render anything, the process takes place the same as yours but theres no end result like the dodecahedron visible on your screen nothing showed up for me. Are there any previous settings which might be the cause of this problem? Someone help me please.

I have no "render" option in my Inkscape. Under Extensions I have only 5 lines. I have a Hungarian translation of the program. Shall I download the program once again, rather the English version?

Hi Imran. Good question. There is a modified version of Inkscape that adds some basic animation tools. There is also good free software called Sozi, for creating animated interactive presentations. For a more advanced option, you can export the SVG files and import them into OpenToonz to do all type of animation.

Please I need some help. It’s driving me crazy and I can’t fix it by myself. Every time when I open a tool ( for exemple - extensions - calendar) it is open a full screen setting for that tool and I need to ajust the window EVERY SINGLE TIME. Could you help me to fix this? I have cricut .aker and I am trying to create the path out of PNG file to save as SVG file for cricut to cut. And this Inkscape is really cool program and thank you very much for upload all the knowledge video. I just want to know how can I chang object or picture (PNG) or make the transparent background to send to cricut machine to cut. I watch a lot of video to make it but they didn't show how to save it or export it or make it to use with design space in cricut program. Please advice.

Hi there--when I try to render a polyhedron, I keep getting an error that says "Failed to import the numpy module..." and I just installed python (newest)--do you have any suggestions?

To display an Inkscape drawing in LaTeX, you can save as SVG or export as PNG. LaTaX is able to read and work with both PNG and SVG files.

@@TJFREE Sorry, I didn't ask properly. I mean, how to write latex text (mathematics texts) in inkscape? I am struggling to install this extension in inkscape, because it doesn't working.
