I have scoured the internet for a clear and concise explanation of how to install an extension to Inkscape and you were the only one I found that showed me how to do it easily. First of all, thanks for an amazing tutorial playlist. It helped me a lot. From inkscape 1.2, the way in which extensions are deployed seems to be changed. The path can be configured in edit>preferences>system>extensions. Also there is an extension manager which installs verified extensions.

Any chance you could help me, a not very computer literate person, I’m trying to copy my extension to the ink space extension list and my computer tells me I need permission🤷🏻‍♀️ It’s my personal computer, not sure how to get my permission. Ugh

Hi Noreena. Sometime an option will pop up to 'Alllow' when you done have permission. If that option does not pop up, it may be that your account is not an Administrator. Even personal computers need an administrator. You may be able to logout, and relogin as the Admin, but it may require a password. Try a web search for 'Login as Admin on Windows'

I downloaded new fonts, but they do not show in Inkscape. They show in Word, and other programs, but not in Inkscape. I have shut Inscape down and reopened it many times, but the fonts are not there. Can you help me? Thanks

Hello, I'm a beginner and your lessons have helped learn a lot. What I would like to ask is if you know anything about textiles design work on Inkscape, or have any advice, as this is what I want to use Inkscape for along side learning to use photoshop. Great question. I think Inkscape is an excellent choice for textile design, but I don't have any experience in this area. I'll see if I can figure something out, and maybe make a tutorial video on it.

Same here. Did you install the ver. 1.0? It is a different animal than previous versions. So far I am still looking for the way to have it load extensions, or why it can't.

@@amitrana863 Not certain, but the programmers left out the links to extension in their messed up version 1.0. That's a huge no no for any programmer. It's a common practice for lazy programmers who refuse to do their homework. Another reason to use, or switch to Linux, as most versions have consistent core programming that can be applied to new features and applications. Linux is still no contender for Windows, so switching can be difficult.

I downloaded the countersheet extensions and it was a success. I tried installing another extension called inkStitch. But I only found inkStitch.py file but no inkstich.inx file .so it's not visible in extensions tab on inkscape...

Why are you using Windows when all your other apps are open-source?

I chose to use Windows for these tutorials because most of my viewers are using Windows, and I want to help them be comfortable and understand how usable the software can be for them in their current situation. I personally use Linux on all my business and home computers.
